Die Heilige Schrift (Luther 1545)

Hos 1:1 The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel. (kjv)

Hos 1:1 The word of the Lord which came to Hosea the son of Beeri, during the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and during the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

Hos 1:2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD. (kjv)

Hos 1:2 When the Lord first spoke through Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea, "Go, take to yourself a wife of harlotry and have children of harlotry; for the land commits flagrant harlotry, forsaking the Lord."

Hos 1:3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son. (kjv)

Hos 1:3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.

Hos 1:4 And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel. (kjv)

Hos 1:4 And the Lord said to him, "Name him Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will punish the house of Jehu for the bloodshed of Jezreel, and I will put an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel.

Hos 1:5 And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel, in the valley of Jezreel. (kjv)

Hos 1:5 On that day I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel."

Hos 1:6 And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away. (kjv)

Hos 1:6 Then she conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. And the Lord said to him, "Name her Lo-ruhamah, for I will no longer have compassion on the house of Israel, that I would ever forgive them.

Hos 1:7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen. (kjv)

Hos 1:7 But I will have compassion on the house of Judah and deliver them by the Lord their God, and will not deliver them by bow, sword, battle, horses or horsemen."

Hos.1:7 Doch will ich mich erbarmen über das Haus Juda und will ihnen helfen durch den HERRN, ihren Gott; ich will ihnen aber nicht helfen durch Bogen, Schwert, Streit, Rosse oder Reiter.

Hos 1:8 Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son. (kjv)

Hos 1:8 When she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived and gave birth to a son.

Hos 1:9 Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God. (kjv)

Hos 1:9 And the Lord said, "Name him Lo-ammi, for you are not My people and I am not your God."

Hos 1:10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God. (kjv)

Hos 1:10 Yet the number of the sons of Israel Will be like the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered; And in the place Where it is said to them, "You are not My people," It will be said to them, "You are the sons of the living God."

Hos 1:11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.(kjv)

Hos 1:11 And the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel will be gathered together, And they will appoint for themselves one leader, And they will go up from the land, For great will be the day of Jezreel.

Hos 2:1 Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah. (kjv)

Hos 2:1 Say to your brothers," Ammi," and to your sisters," Ruhamah."

Hos 2:2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts; (kjv)

Hos 2:2 "Contend with your mother, contend, For she is not my wife, and I am not her husband; And let her put away her harlotry from her face And her adultery from between her breasts,

Hos 2:3 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst. (kjv)

Hos 2:3 Or I will strip her naked And expose her as on the day when she was born. I will also make her like a wilderness, Make her like desert land And slay her with thirst.

Hos 2:4 And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms. (kjv)

Hos 2:4 "Also, I will have no compassion on her children, Because they are children of harlotry.

Hos.2:4 und mich ihrer Kinder nicht erbarme, denn sie sind Hurenkinder;

Hos 2:5 For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink. (kjv)

Hos 2:5 "For their mother has played the harlot; She who conceived them has acted shamefully. For she said, 'I will go after my lovers, Who give me my bread and my water, My wool and my flax, my oil and my drink.'

Hos 2:6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths. (kjv)

Hos 2:6 "Therefore, behold, I will hedge up her way with thorns, And I will build a wall against her so that she cannot find her paths.

Hos.2:6 Darum siehe, ich will deinen Weg mit Dornen vermachen und eine Wand davorziehen, daß sie ihren Steig nicht finden soll;

Hos 2:7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now. (kjv)

Hos 2:7 "She will pursue her lovers, but she will not overtake them; And she will seek them, but will not find them. Then she will say, 'I will go back to my first husband, For it was better for me then than now!'

Hos 2:8 For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal. (kjv)

Hos 2:8 "For she does not know that it was I who gave her the grain, the new wine and the oil, And lavished on her silver and gold, Which they used for Baal.

Hos 2:9 Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness. (kjv)

Hos 2:9 "Therefore, I will take back My grain at harvest time And My new wine in its season. I will also take away My wool and My flax Given to cover her nakedness.

Hos.2:9 Darum will ich mein Korn und meinen Most wieder nehmen zu seiner Zeit und ihr meine Wolle und meinen Flachs entziehen, damit sie ihre Blöße bedeckt.

Hos 2:10 And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand. (kjv)

Hos 2:10 "And then I will uncover her lewdness In the sight of her lovers, And no one will rescue her out of My hand.

Hos 2:11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts. (kjv)

Hos 2:11 "I will also put an end to all her gaiety, Her feasts, her new moons, her sabbaths And all her festal assemblies.

Hos 2:12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them. (kjv)

Hos 2:12 "I will destroy her vines and fig trees, Of which she said, 'These are my wages Which my lovers have given me.'And I will make them a forest, And the beasts of the field will devour them.

Hos 2:13 And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD. (kjv)

Hos 2:13 "I will punish her for the days of the Baals When she used to offer sacrifices to them And adorn herself with her earrings and jewelry, And follow her lovers, so that she forgot Me," declares the Lord.

Hos 2:14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her. (kjv)

Hos 2:14 "Therefore, behold, I will allure her, Bring her into the wilderness And speak kindly to her.

Hos.2:14 Darum siehe, ich will sie locken und will sie in die Wüste führen und freundlich mit ihr reden.

Hos 2:15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. (kjv)

Hos 2:15 "Then I will give her her vineyards from there, And the valley of Achor as a door of hope. And she will sing there as in the days of her youth, As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.

Hos 2:16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. (kjv)

Hos 2:16 "It will come about in that day," declares the Lord, "That you will call Me Ishi And will no longer call Me Baali.

Hos 2:17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name. (kjv)

Hos 2:17 "For I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth, So that they will be mentioned by their names no more.

Hos 2:18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely. (kjv)

Hos 2:18 "In that day I will also make a covenant for them With the beasts of the field, The birds of the sky And the creeping things of the ground. And I will abolish the bow, the sword and war from the land, And will make them lie down in safety.

Hos 2:19 And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. (kjv)

Hos 2:19 "I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice, In lovingkindness and in compassion,

Hos.2:19 Ich will mich mit dir verloben in Ewigkeit; ich will mich mit dir vertrauen in Gerechtigkeit und Gericht, in Gnade und Barmherzigkeit.

Hos 2:20 I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD. (kjv)

Hos 2:20 And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness. Then you will know the Lord.

Hos 2:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; (kjv)

Hos 2:21 "It will come about in that day that I will respond," declares the Lord." I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth,

Hos.2:21 Zur selben Zeit, spricht der HERR, will ich erhören, ich will den Himmel erhören und der Himmel soll die Erde erhören,

Hos 2:22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel. (kjv)

Hos 2:22 And the earth will respond to the grain, to the new wine and to the oil, And they will respond to Jezreel.

Hos 2:23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.(kjv)

Hos 2:23 "I will sow her for Myself in the land. I will also have compassion on her who had not obtained compassion, And I will say to those who were not My people, 'You are My people!'And they will say, 'You are my God!'"

Hos 3:1 Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine. (kjv)

Hos 3:1 Then the Lord said to me, "Go again, love a woman who is loved by her husband, yet an adulteress, even as the Lord loves the sons of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes."

Hos 3:2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley: (kjv)

Hos 3:2 So I bought her for myself for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer and a half of barley.

Hos 3:3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee. (kjv)

Hos 3:3 Then I said to her, "You shall stay with me for many days. You shall not play the harlot, nor shall you have a man; so I will also be toward you."

Hos 3:4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: (kjv)

Hos 3:4 For the sons of Israel will remain for many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar and without ephod or household idols.

Hos.3:4 Denn die Kinder Israel werden lange Zeit ohne König, ohne Fürsten, ohne Opfer, ohne Altar, ohne Leibrock und ohne Heiligtum bleiben.

Hos 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.(kjv)

Hos 3:5 Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king; and they will come trembling to the Lord and to His goodness in the last days.

Hos 4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. (kjv)

Hos 4:1 Listen to the word of the Lord, O sons of Israel, For the Lord has a case against the inhabitants of the land, Because there is no faithfulness or kindness Or knowledge of God in the land.

Hos.4:1 Höret, ihr Kinder Israel, des HERRN Wort! denn der HERR hat Ursache, zu schelten, die im Lande wohnen; denn es ist keine Treue, keine Liebe, keine Erkenntnis Gottes im Lande;

Hos 4:2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. (kjv)

Hos 4:2 There is swearing, deception, murder, stealing and adultery. They employ violence, so that bloodshed follows bloodshed.

Hos 4:3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away. (kjv)

Hos 4:3 Therefore the land mourns, And everyone who lives in it languishes Along with the beasts of the field and the birds of the sky, And also the fish of the sea disappear.

Hos 4:4 Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest. (kjv)

Hos 4:4 Yet let no one find fault, and let none offer reproof; For your people are like those who contend with the priest.

Hos 4:5 Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother. (kjv)

Hos 4:5 So you will stumble by day, And the prophet also will stumble with you by night; And I will destroy your mother.

Hos.4:5 Darum sollst du bei Tage fallen und der Prophet des Nachts neben dir fallen; also will ich deine Mutter zu Grunde richten.

Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. (kjv)

Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Hos 4:7 As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame. (kjv)

Hos 4:7 The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.

Hos 4:8 They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity. (kjv)

Hos 4:8 They feed on the sin of My people And direct their desire toward their iniquity.

Hos 4:9 And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings. (kjv)

Hos 4:9 And it will be, like people, like priest; So I will punish them for their ways And repay them for their deeds.

Hos 4:10 For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD. (kjv)

Hos 4:10 They will eat, but not have enough; They will play the harlot, but not increase, Because they have stopped giving heed to the Lord.

Hos 4:11 Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart. (kjv)

Hos 4:11 Harlotry, wine and new wine take away the understanding.

Hos.4:11 Hurerei, Wein und Most machen toll.

Hos 4:12 My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God. (kjv)

Hos 4:12 My people consult their wooden idol, and their diviner's wand informs them; For a spirit of harlotry has led them astray, And they have played the harlot, departing from their God.

Hos 4:13 They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery. (kjv)

Hos 4:13 They offer sacrifices on the tops of the mountains And burn incense on the hills, Under oak, poplar and terebinth, Because their shade is pleasant. Therefore your daughters play the harlot And your brides commit adultery.

Hos 4:14 I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that doth not understand shall fall. (kjv)

Hos 4:14 I will not punish your daughters when they play the harlot Or your brides when they commit adultery, For the men themselves go apart with harlots And offer sacrifices with temple prostitutes; So the people without understanding are ruined.

Hos 4:15 Though thou, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah offend; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Bethaven, nor swear, The LORD liveth. (kjv)

Hos 4:15 Though you, Israel, play the harlot, Do not let Judah become guilty; Also do not go to Gilgal, Or go up to Beth-aven And take the oath: "As the Lord lives!"

Hos 4:16 For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place. (kjv)

Hos 4:16 Since Israel is stubborn Like a stubborn heifer, Can the Lord now pasture them Like a lamb in a large field?

Hos 4:17 Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone. (kjv)

Hos 4:17 Ephraim is joined to idols; Let him alone.

Hos 4:18 Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give ye. (kjv)

Hos 4:18 Their liquor gone, They play the harlot continually; Their rulers dearly love shame.

Hos 4:19 The wind hath bound her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.(kjv)

Hos 4:19 The wind wraps them in its wings, And they will be ashamed because of their sacrifices.

Hos 5:1 Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor. (kjv)

Hos 5:1 Hear this, O priests! Give heed, O house of Israel! Listen, O house of the king! For the judgment applies to you, For you have been a snare at Mizpah And a net spread out on Tabor.

Hos 5:2 And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all. (kjv)

Hos 5:2 The revolters have gone deep in depravity, But I will chastise all of them.

Hos 5:3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled. (kjv)

Hos 5:3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from Me; For now, O Ephraim, you have played the harlot, Israel has defiled itself.

Hos 5:4 They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD. (kjv)

Hos 5:4 Their deeds will not allow them To return to their God. For a spirit of harlotry is within them, And they do not know the Lord.

Hos 5:5 And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them. (kjv)
