Tit 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (kjv)

Tit 1:5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: (kjv)

Titus.1:5 Derhalben ließ ich dich in Kreta, daß du solltest vollends ausrichten, was ich gelassen habe, und besetzen die Städte hin und her mit Ältesten, wie ich dir befohlen haben;

Tit 1:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. (kjv)

Tit 1:6 namely, if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion.

Tit 1:7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; (kjv)

Tit 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. (kjv)

Tit 1:9 holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.

Titus.1:9 und haltend ob dem Wort, das gewiß ist, und lehrhaft, auf daß er mächtig sei, zu ermahnen durch die heilsame Lehre und zu strafen die Widersprecher.

Tit 1:10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: (kjv)

Titus.1:10 Denn es sind viel freche und unnütze Schwätzer und Verführer, sonderlich die aus den Juden,

Tit 1:11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. (kjv)

Tit 1:11 who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach for the sake of sordid gain.

Titus.1:11 welchen man muß das Maul stopfen, die da ganze Häuser verkehren und lehren, was nicht taugt, um schändlichen Gewinns willen.

Tit 1:12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. (kjv)

Titus.1:12 Es hat einer aus ihnen gesagt, ihr eigener Prophet: "Die Kreter sind immer Lügner, böse Tiere und faule Bäuche."

Tit 1:13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; (kjv)

Tit 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. (kjv)

Tit 1:15 To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

Titus.1:15 Den Reinen ist alles rein; den Unreinen aber und Ungläubigen ist nichts rein, sondern unrein ist ihr Sinn sowohl als ihr Gewissen.

Tit 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.(kjv)

Tit 1:16 They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.

Titus.1:16 Sie sagen, sie erkennen Gott; aber mit den Werken verleugnen sie es, sintemal sie es sind, an welchen Gott Greuel hat, und gehorchen nicht und sind zu allem guten Werk untüchtig.

Tit 2:1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: (kjv)

Tit 2:1 But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine.

Titus.2:1 Du aber rede, wie sich's ziemt nach der heilsamen Lehre:

Tit 2:2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. (kjv)

Tit 2:2 Older men are to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance.

Titus.2:2 den Alten sage, daß sie nüchtern seien, ehrbar, züchtig, gesund im Glauben, in der Liebe, in der Geduld;

Tit 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; (kjv)

Tit 2:3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good,

Titus.2:3 den alten Weibern desgleichen, daß sie sich halten wie den Heiligen ziemt, nicht Lästerinnen seien, nicht Weinsäuferinnen, gute Lehrerinnen;

Tit 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, (kjv)

Tit 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (kjv)

Titus.2:5 sittig sein, keusch, häuslich, gütig, ihren Männern untertan, auf daß nicht das Wort Gottes verlästert werde.

Tit 2:6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. (kjv)

Tit 2:6 Likewise urge the young men to be sensible;

Titus.2:6 Desgleichen die jungen Männer ermahne, daß sie züchtig seien.

Tit 2:7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, (kjv)

Titus.2:7 Allenthalben aber stelle dich selbst zum Vorbilde guter Werke, mit unverfälschter Lehre, mit Ehrbarkeit,

Tit 2:8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. (kjv)

Tit 2:8 sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.

Titus.2:8 mit heilsamem und untadeligem Wort, auf daß der Widersacher sich schäme und nichts habe, daß er von uns möge Böses sagen.

Tit 2:9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; (kjv)

Titus.2:12 und züchtigt uns, daß wir sollen verleugnen das ungöttliche Wesen und die weltlichen Lüste, und züchtig, gerecht und gottselig leben in dieser Welt

Tit 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; (kjv)

Titus.2:13 und warten auf die selige Hoffnung und Erscheinung der Herrlichkeit des großen Gottes und unsers Heilandes, Jesu Christi,

Tit 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (kjv)

Tit 2:14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.

Titus.2:14 der sich selbst für uns gegeben hat, auf daß er uns erlöste von aller Ungerechtigkeit und reinigte sich selbst ein Volk zum Eigentum, das fleißig wäre zu guten Werken.

Tit 2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.(kjv)

Titus.2:15 Solches rede und ermahne und strafe mit gutem Ernst. Laß dich niemand verachten.

Tit 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, (kjv)

Tit 3:1 Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed,

Titus.3:1 Erinnere sie, daß sie den Fürsten und der Obrigkeit untertan und gehorsam seien, zu allem guten Werk bereit seien,

Tit 3:2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. (kjv)

Tit 3:2 to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.

Titus.3:2 niemand lästern, nicht hadern, gelinde seien, alle Sanftmütigkeit beweisen gegen alle Menschen.

Tit 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. (kjv)

Titus.3:4 Da aber erschien die Freundlichkeit und Leutseligkeit Gottes, unsers Heilandes,

Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (kjv)

Titus.3:5 nicht um der Werke willen der Gerechtigkeit, die wir getan hatten, sondern nach seiner Barmherzigkeit machte er uns selig durch das Bad der Wiedergeburt und Erneuerung des heiligen Geistes,

Tit 3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; (kjv)

Titus.3:8 Das ist gewißlich wahr; solches will ich, daß du fest lehrest, auf daß die, so an Gott gläubig geworden sind, in einem Stand guter Werke gefunden werden. Solches ist gut und nütze den Menschen.

Tit 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. (kjv)

Titus.3:9 Der törichten Fragen aber, der Geschlechtsregister, des Zankes und Streites über das Gesetz entschlage dich; denn sie sind unnütz und eitel.

Tit 3:10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; (kjv)

Tit 3:10 Reject a factious man after a first and second warning,

Titus.3:10 Einen ketzerischen Menschen meide, wenn er einmal und abermals ermahnt ist,

Tit 3:11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. (kjv)

Tit 3:11 knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned.

Titus.3:11 und wisse, daß ein solcher verkehrt ist und sündigt, als der sich selbst verurteilt hat.

Tit 3:12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter. (kjv)

Tit 3:12 When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, make every effort to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there.

Titus.3:12 Wenn ich zu dir senden werde Artemas oder Tychikus, so komm eilend zu mir gen Nikopolis; denn daselbst habe ich beschlossen den Winter zu bleiben.

Tit 3:13 Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them. (kjv)

Tit 3:14 Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.

Titus.3:14 Laß aber auch die Unsern lernen, daß sie im Stand guter Werke sich finden lassen, wo man ihrer bedarf, auf daß sie nicht unfruchtbar seien.

Tit 3:15 All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.(kjv)
