Abiitque homo de Bethlehem Juda, ut peregrinaretur in regione Moabitide cum uxore sua ac duobus liberis.(vulgate) Rut 1:1 Zu der Zeit, da die Richter regierten, ward eine Teuerung im Lande. Und ein Mann von Bethlehem-Juda zog wallen in der Moabiter Land mit seinem Weibe und seinen zwei Söhnen.(dhs) Rut 1:1 Now it came to pass, in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. Now they entered the land of Moab and remained there.(nasb) Rut 1:2 καὶ ὄνομα τῷ ἀνδÏá½¶ Αβιμελεχ καὶ ὄνομα τῇ γυναικὶ αá½Ï„οῦ Îωεμιν καὶ ὄνομα τοῖς δυσὶν υἱοῖς αá½Ï„οῦ Μααλων καὶ Χελαιων ΕφÏαθαῖοι á¼Îº Βαιθλεεμ τῆς Ιουδα καὶ ἤλθοσαν εἰς ἀγÏὸν Μωαβ καὶ ἦσαν á¼ÎºÎµá¿– (lxx) Rut 1:2 Ipse vocabatur Elimelech, et uxor ejus Noëmi: et duo filii, alter Mahalon, et alter Chelion, Ephrathæi de Bethlehem Juda. Ingressique regionem Moabitidem, morabantur ibi.(vulgate) Rut 1:2 Der hieß Elimelech und sein Weib Naemi und seine zwei Söhne Mahlon und Chiljon; die waren Ephrather von Bethlehem-Juda. And they went to the country of Moab and remained there.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:3 ============ Rut 1:3 Then Elimelech, Naomi's husband, died; and she was left with her two sons.(nasb) Rut 1:3 καὶ ἀπέθανεν Αβιμελεχ á½ á¼€Î½á½´Ï Ï„á¿†Ï‚ Îωεμιν καὶ κατελείφθη αá½Ï„á½´ καὶ οἱ δύο υἱοὶ αá½Ï„ῆς (lxx) Rut 1:3 Et mortuus est Elimelech maritus Noëmi: remansitque ipsa cum filiis.(vulgate) Rut 1:3 Und Elimelech, der Naemi Mann, starb, und sie blieb übrig mit ihren zwei Söhnen.(dhs) Rut 1:3 Then Elimelech, Naomi's husband, died; and she was left, and her two sons.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:4 ============ Rut 1:4 They took for themselves Moabite women as wives; the name of the one was Orpah and the name of the other Ruth. And they lived there about ten years.(nasb) Rut 1:4 καὶ á¼Î»á½±Î²Î¿ÏƒÎ±Î½ ἑαυτοῖς γυναῖκας Μωαβίτιδας ὄνομα τῇ μιᾷ ΟÏφα καὶ ὄνομα τῇ δευτέÏá¾³ Ρουθ καὶ κατῴκησαν á¼ÎºÎµá¿– ὡς δέκα ἔτη (lxx) Rut 1:4 Qui acceperunt uxores Moabitidas, quarum una vocabatur Orpha, altera vero Ruth. Manseruntque ibi decem annis,(vulgate) Rut 1:4 Die nahmen moabitische Weiber; eine hieß Orpa, die andere Rut Und da sie daselbst gewohnt hatten ungefähr zehn Jahre,(dhs) Rut 1:4 Now they took wives of the women of Moab: the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth. And they dwelt there about ten years.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:5 ============ Rut 1:5 Then both Mahlon and Chilion also died, and the woman was bereft of her two children and her husband.(nasb) Rut 1:5 καὶ ἀπέθανον καί γε ἀμφότεÏοι Μααλων καὶ Χελαιων καὶ κατελείφθη ἡ γυνὴ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀνδÏὸς αá½Ï„ῆς καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν δύο υἱῶν αá½Ï„ῆς (lxx) Rut 1:5 et ambo mortui sunt, Mahalon videlicet et Chelion: remansitque mulier orbata duobus liberis ac marito.(vulgate) Rut 1:5 starben sie alle beide, Mahlon und Chiljon, daß das Weib überlebte beide Söhne und ihren Mann.(dhs) Rut 1:5 Then both Mahlon and Chilion also died; so the woman survived her two sons and her husband.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:6 ============ Rut 1:6 Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return from the land of Moab, for she had heard in the land of Moab that the Lord had visited His people in giving them food.(nasb) Rut 1:6 καὶ ἀνέστη αá½Ï„á½´ καὶ αἱ δύο νύμφαι αá½Ï„ῆς καὶ ἀπέστÏεψαν á¼Î¾ ἀγÏοῦ Μωαβ ὅτι ἤκουσαν á¼Î½ ἀγÏá¿· Μωαβ ὅτι á¼Ï€á½³ÏƒÎºÎµÏ€Ï„αι κύÏιος τὸν λαὸν αá½Ï„οῦ δοῦναι αá½Ï„οῖς ἄÏτους (lxx) Rut 1:6 Et surrexit ut in patriam pergeret cum utraque nuru sua de regione Moabitide: audierat enim quod respexisset Dominus populum suum, et dedisset eis escas.~(vulgate) Rut 1:6 Da machte sie sich auf mit ihren zwei Schwiegertöchtern und zog wieder aus der Moabiter Lande; denn sie hatte erfahren im Moabiterlande, daß der HERR sein Volk hatte heimgesucht und ihnen Brot gegeben.(dhs) Rut 1:6 Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the country of Moab that the Lord had visited His people by giving them bread.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:7 ============ Rut 1:7 So she departed from the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her; and they went on the way to return to the land of Judah.(nasb) Rut 1:7 καὶ á¼Î¾á¿†Î»Î¸ÎµÎ½ á¼Îº τοῦ τόπου οὗ ἦν á¼ÎºÎµá¿– καὶ αἱ δύο νύμφαι αá½Ï„ῆς μετ᾽ αá½Ï„ῆς καὶ á¼Ï€Î¿Ïεύοντο á¼Î½ τῇ á½Î´á¿· τοῦ á¼Ï€Î¹ÏƒÏ„Ïέψαι εἰς τὴν γῆν Ιουδα (lxx) Rut 1:7 Egressa est itaque de loco peregrinationis suæ, cum utraque nuru: et jam in via revertendi posita in terram Juda,(vulgate) Rut 1:7 Und sie ging aus von dem Ort, da sie gewesen war, und ihre beiden Schwiegertöchter mit ihr. Und da sie ging auf dem Wege, daß sie wiederkäme ins Land Juda,(dhs) Rut 1:7 Therefore she went out from the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her; and they went on the way to return to the land of Judah.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:8 ============ Rut 1:8 And Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, "Go, return each of you to her mother's house. May the Lord deal kindly with you as you have dealt with the dead and with me.(nasb) Rut 1:8 καὶ εἶπεν Îωεμιν ταῖς νύμφαις αá½Ï„ῆς ποÏεύεσθε δὴ ἀποστÏάφητε ἑκάστη εἰς οἶκον μητÏὸς αá½Ï„ῆς ποιήσαι κύÏιος μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν ἔλεος καθὼς á¼Ï€Î¿Î¹á½µÏƒÎ±Ï„ε μετὰ τῶν τεθνηκότων καὶ μετ᾽ á¼Î¼Î¿á¿¦ (lxx) Rut 1:8 dixit ad eas: Ite in domum matris vestræ: faciat vobiscum Dominus misericordiam, sicut fecistis cum mortuis, et mecum.(vulgate) Rut 1:8 sprach sie zu ihren beiden Schwiegertöchtern: Geht hin und kehrt um, eine jegliche zu ihrer Mutter Haus. Der HERR tue an euch Barmherzigkeit, wie ihr an den Toten und mir getan habt!(dhs) Rut 1:8 And Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, "Go, return each to her mother's house. The Lord deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead and with me.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:9 ============ Rut 1:9 May the Lord grant that you may find rest, each in the house of her husband." Then she kissed them, and they lifted up their voices and wept.(nasb) Rut 1:9 δῴη κύÏιος ὑμῖν καὶ εὕÏοιτε ἀνάπαυσιν ἑκάστη á¼Î½ οἴκῳ ἀνδÏὸς αá½Ï„ῆς καὶ κατεφίλησεν αá½Ï„άς καὶ á¼Ï€á¿†Ïαν τὴν φωνὴν αá½Ï„ῶν καὶ ἔκλαυσαν (lxx) Rut 1:9 Det vobis invenire requiem in domibus virorum quos sortituræ estis. Et osculata est eas. Quæ elevata voce flere cÅ“perunt,(vulgate) Rut 1:9 Der HERR gebe euch, daß ihr Ruhe findet, eine jegliche in ihres Mannes Hause! Und küßte sie. Da hoben sie ihre Stimmen auf und weinten(dhs) Rut 1:9 The Lord grant that you may find rest, each in the house of her husband." Then she kissed them, and they lifted up their voices and wept.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:10 ============ Rut 1:10 And they said to her, "No, but we will surely return with you to your people."(nasb) Rut 1:10 καὶ εἶπαν αá½Ï„ῇ μετὰ σοῦ á¼Ï€Î¹ÏƒÏ„Ïέφομεν εἰς τὸν λαόν σου (lxx) Rut 1:10 et dicere: Tecum pergemus ad populum tuum.(vulgate) Rut 1:10 und sprachen zu ihr: Wir wollen mit dir zu deinem Volk gehen.(dhs) Rut 1:10 And they said to her, "Surely we will return with you to your people."(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:11 ============ Rut 1:11 But Naomi said, "Return, my daughters. Why should you go with me? Have I yet sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?(nasb) Rut 1:11 καὶ εἶπεν Îωεμιν á¼Ï€Î¹ÏƒÏ„Ïάφητε δή θυγατέÏες μου καὶ ἵνα τί ποÏεύεσθε μετ᾽ á¼Î¼Î¿á¿¦ μὴ ἔτι μοι υἱοὶ á¼Î½ τῇ κοιλίᾳ μου καὶ ἔσονται ὑμῖν εἰς ἄνδÏας (lxx) Rut 1:11 Quibus illa respondit: Revertimini, filiæ meæ, cur venitis mecum? num ultra habeo filios in utero meo, ut viros ex me sperare possitis?(vulgate) Rut 1:11 Aber Naemi sprach: Kehrt um, meine Töchter! warum wollt ihr mit mir gehen? Wie kann ich fürder Kinder in meinem Leibe haben, die eure Männer sein könnten?(dhs) Rut 1:11 But Naomi said, "Turn back, my daughters; why will you go with me? Are there still sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:12 ============ Rut 1:12 Return, my daughters! Go, for I am too old to have a husband. If I said I have hope, if I should even have a husband tonight and also bear sons,(nasb) Rut 1:12 á¼Ï€Î¹ÏƒÏ„Ïάφητε δή θυγατέÏες μου διότι γεγήÏακα τοῦ μὴ εἶναι ἀνδÏá½· ὅτι εἶπα ὅτι ἔστιν μοι ὑπόστασις τοῦ γενηθῆναί με ἀνδÏá½¶ καὶ τέξομαι υἱούς (lxx) Rut 1:12 Revertimini, filiæ meæ, et abite: jam enim senectute confecta sum, nec apta vinculo conjugali: etiamsi possem hac nocte concipere, et parere filios,(vulgate) Rut 1:12 Kehrt um, meine Töchter, und geht hin! denn ich bin nun zu alt, daß ich einen Mann nehme. Und wenn ich spräche: Es ist zu hoffen, daß ich diese Nacht einen Mann nehme und Kinder gebäre,(dhs) Rut 1:12 Turn back, my daughters, go--for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say I have hope, if I should have a husband tonight and should also bear sons,(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:13 ============ Rut 1:13 would you therefore wait until they were grown? Would you therefore refrain from marrying? No, my daughters; for it is harder for me than for you, for the hand of the Lord has gone forth against me."(nasb) Rut 1:13 μὴ αá½Ï„οὺς Ï€Ïοσδέξεσθε ἕως οὗ á¼Î´Ïυνθῶσιν á¼¢ αá½Ï„οῖς κατασχεθήσεσθε τοῦ μὴ γενέσθαι ἀνδÏá½· μὴ δή θυγατέÏες μου ὅτι á¼Ï€Î¹ÎºÏάνθη μοι á½‘Ï€á½²Ï á½‘Î¼á¾¶Ï‚ ὅτι á¼Î¾á¿†Î»Î¸ÎµÎ½ á¼Î½ á¼Î¼Î¿á½¶ Ï‡Îµá½¶Ï ÎºÏ…Ïίου (lxx) Rut 1:13 si eos expectare velitis donec crescant, et annos pubertatis impleant, ante eritis vetulæ quam nubatis. Nolite, quæso, filiæ meæ: quia vestra angustia magis me premit, et egressa est manus Domini contra me.(vulgate) Rut 1:13 wie könntet ihr doch harren, bis sie groß würden? wie wolltet ihr verziehen, daß ihr nicht Männer solltet nehmen? Nicht, meine Töchter! denn mich jammert euer sehr; denn des HERRN Hand ist über mich ausgegangen.(dhs) Rut 1:13 would you wait for them till they were grown? Would you restrain yourselves from having husbands? No, my daughters; for it grieves me very much for your sakes that the hand of the Lord has gone out against me!"(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:14 ============ Rut 1:14 And they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her.(nasb) Rut 1:14 καὶ á¼Ï€á¿†Ïαν τὴν φωνὴν αá½Ï„ῶν καὶ ἔκλαυσαν ἔτι καὶ κατεφίλησεν ΟÏφα τὴν πενθεÏὰν αá½Ï„ῆς καὶ á¼Ï€á½³ÏƒÏ„Ïεψεν εἰς τὸν λαὸν αá½Ï„ῆς Ρουθ δὲ ἠκολούθησεν αá½Ï„ῇ (lxx) Rut 1:14 Elevata igitur voce, rursum flere cÅ“perunt: Orpha osculata est socrum, ac reversa est; Ruth adhæsit socrui suæ:(vulgate) Rut 1:14 Da hoben sie ihre Stimme auf und weinten noch mehr. Und Opra küßte ihre Schwiegermutter; Rut aber blieb bei ihr.(dhs) Rut 1:14 Then they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:15 ============ Rut 1:15 Then she said, "Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and her gods; return after your sister-in-law."(nasb) Rut 1:15 καὶ εἶπεν Îωεμιν Ï€Ïὸς Ρουθ ἰδοὺ ἀνέστÏεψεν ἡ σύννυμφός σου Ï€Ïὸς λαὸν αá½Ï„ῆς καὶ Ï€Ïὸς τοὺς θεοὺς αá½Ï„ῆς á¼Ï€Î¹ÏƒÏ„Ïάφητι δὴ καὶ σὺ ὀπίσω τῆς συννύμφου σου (lxx) Rut 1:15 cui dixit Noëmi: En reversa est cognata tua ad populum suum, et ad deos suos, vade cum ea.(vulgate) Rut 1:15 Sie aber sprach: Siehe, deine Schwägerin ist umgewandt zu ihrem Volk und zu ihrem Gott; kehre auch du um, deiner Schwägerin nach.(dhs) Rut 1:15 And she said, "Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law."(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:16 ============ Rut 1:16 But Ruth said, "Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.(nasb) Rut 1:16 εἶπεν δὲ Ρουθ μὴ ἀπαντήσαι á¼Î¼Î¿á½¶ τοῦ καταλιπεῖν σε á¼¢ ἀποστÏέψαι ὄπισθέν σου ὅτι σὺ ὅπου á¼á½°Î½ ποÏευθῇς ποÏεύσομαι καὶ οὗ á¼á½°Î½ αá½Î»Î¹ÏƒÎ¸á¿‡Ï‚ αá½Î»Î¹ÏƒÎ¸á½µÏƒÎ¿Î¼Î±Î¹ ὠλαός σου λαός μου καὶ ὠθεός σου θεός μου (lxx) Rut 1:16 Quæ respondit: Ne adverseris mihi ut relinquam te et abeam: quocumque enim perrexeris, pergam, et ubi morata fueris, et ego pariter morabor. Populus tuus populus meus, et Deus tuus Deus meus.(vulgate) Rut 1:16 Rut antwortete: Rede mir nicht ein, daß ich dich verlassen sollte und von dir umkehren. Wo du hin gehst, da will ich auch hin gehen; wo du bleibst, da bleibe ich auch. Dein Volk ist mein Volk, und dein Gott ist mein Gott.(dhs) Rut 1:16 But Ruth said: "Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:17 ============ Rut 1:17 Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may the Lord do to me, and worse, if anything but death parts you and me."(nasb) Rut 1:17 καὶ οὗ á¼á½°Î½ ἀποθάνῃς ἀποθανοῦμαι κἀκεῖ ταφήσομαι τάδε ποιήσαι μοι κύÏιος καὶ τάδε Ï€Ïοσθείη ὅτι θάνατος διαστελεῖ ἀνὰ μέσον á¼Î¼Î¿á¿¦ καὶ σοῦ (lxx) Rut 1:17 Quæ te terra morientem susceperit, in ea moriar: ibique locum accipiam sepulturæ. Hæc mihi faciat Dominus, et hæc addat, si non sola mors me et te separaverit.~(vulgate) Rut 1:17 Wo du stirbst, da sterbe ich auch, da will ich auch begraben werden. Der HERR tue mir dies und das, der Tod muß mich und dich scheiden.(dhs) Rut 1:17 Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me."(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:18 ============ Rut 1:18 When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she said no more to her.(nasb) Rut 1:18 ἰδοῦσα δὲ Îωεμιν ὅτι κÏαταιοῦται αá½Ï„á½´ τοῦ ποÏεύεσθαι μετ᾽ αá½Ï„ῆς á¼Îºá½¹Ï€Î±ÏƒÎµÎ½ τοῦ λαλῆσαι Ï€Ïὸς αá½Ï„ὴν ἔτι (lxx) Rut 1:18 Videns ergo Noëmi quod obstinato animo Ruth decrevisset secum pergere, adversari noluit, nec ad suos ultra reditum persuadere:(vulgate) Rut 1:18 Als sie nun sah, daß sie fest im Sinn war, mit ihr zu gehen, ließ sie ab, mit ihr davon zu reden.(dhs) Rut 1:18 When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped speaking to her.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:19 ============ Rut 1:19 So they both went until they came to Bethlehem. And when they had come to Bethlehem, all the city was stirred because of them, and the women said, "Is this Naomi?"(nasb) Rut 1:19 á¼Ï€Î¿Ïεύθησαν δὲ ἀμφότεÏαι ἕως τοῦ παÏαγενέσθαι αá½Ï„á½°Ï‚ εἰς Βαιθλεεμ καὶ ἤχησεν πᾶσα ἡ πόλις á¼Ï€á¾½ αá½Ï„αῖς καὶ εἶπον αὕτη á¼ÏƒÏ„ὶν Îωεμιν (lxx) Rut 1:19 profectæque sunt simul, et venerunt in Bethlehem. Quibus urbem ingressis, velox apud cunctos fama percrebruit: dicebantque mulieres: Hæc est illa Noëmi.(vulgate) Rut 1:19 Also gingen die beiden miteinander, bis sie gen Bethlehem kamen. Und da sie nach Bethlehem hineinkamen, regte sich die ganze Stadt über ihnen und sprach: Ist das die Naemi?(dhs) Rut 1:19 Now the two of them went until they came to Bethlehem. And it happened, when they had come to Bethlehem, that all the city was excited because of them; and the women said, "Is this Naomi?"(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:20 ============ Rut 1:20 She said to them, "Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.(nasb) Rut 1:20 καὶ εἶπεν Ï€Ïὸς αá½Ï„άς μὴ δὴ καλεῖτέ με Îωεμιν καλέσατέ με ΠικÏάν ὅτι á¼Ï€Î¹ÎºÏάνθη á¼Î½ á¼Î¼Î¿á½¶ ὠἱκανὸς σφόδÏα (lxx) Rut 1:20 Quibus ait: Ne vocetis me Noëmi (id est, pulchram), sed vocate me Mara (id est, amaram), quia amaritudine valde replevit me Omnipotens.(vulgate) Rut 1:20 Sie aber sprach: Heißt mich nicht Naemi, sondern Mara; denn der Allmächtige hat mich sehr betrübt.(dhs) Rut 1:20 But she said to them, "Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 1:21 ============ Rut 1:21 I went out full, but the Lord has brought me back empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the Lord has witnessed against me and the Almighty has afflicted me?"(nasb) Rut 1:21 á¼Î³á½¼ πλήÏης á¼Ï€Î¿Ïεύθην καὶ κενὴν ἀπέστÏεψέν με ὠκύÏιος καὶ ἵνα τί καλεῖτέ με Îωεμιν καὶ κύÏιος á¼Ï„απείνωσέν με καὶ ὠἱκανὸς á¼Îºá½±ÎºÏ‰Ïƒá½³Î½ με (lxx) Rut 1:21 Egressa sum plena, et vacuam reduxit me Dominus. Cur ergo vocatis me Noëmi, quam Dominus humiliavit, et afflixit Omnipotens?(vulgate) Rut 1:21 Voll zog ich aus, aber leer hat mich der HERR wieder heimgebracht.
