======= 2 Kings 6:1 ============ 2Ki 6:1 Now the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, "Behold now, the place before you where we are living is too limited for us.(nasb) 2Ki 6:1 καὶ εἶπον οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν Ï€Ïοφητῶν Ï€Ïὸς Ελισαιε ἰδοὺ δὴ ὠτόπος á¼Î½ á¾§ ἡμεῖς οἰκοῦμεν á¼Î½á½½Ï€Î¹á½¹Î½ σου στενὸς ἀφ᾽ ἡμῶν (lxx) 2Ki 6:1 Dixerunt autem filii prophetarum ad Eliseum: Ecce locus in quo habitamus coram te, angustus est nobis.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:1 Die Kinder der Propheten sprachen zu Elisa: Siehe, der Raum, da wir vor dir wohnen, ist uns zu enge.(dhs) 2Ki 6:1 And the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, "See now, the place where we dwell with you is too small for us.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:2 ============ 2Ki 6:2 Please let us go to the Jordan and each of us take from there a beam, and let us make a place there for ourselves where we may live." So he said, "Go."(nasb) 2Ki 6:2 ποÏευθῶμεν δὴ ἕως τοῦ ΙοÏδάνου καὶ λάβωμεν á¼ÎºÎµá¿–θεν á¼€Î½á½´Ï Îµá¼·Ï‚ δοκὸν μίαν καὶ ποιήσωμεν ἑαυτοῖς á¼ÎºÎµá¿– τοῦ οἰκεῖν á¼ÎºÎµá¿– καὶ εἶπεν δεῦτε (lxx) 2Ki 6:2 Eamus usque ad Jordanem, et tollant singuli de silva materias singulas, ut ædificemus nobis ibi locum ad habitandum. Qui dixit: Ite.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:2 Laß uns an den Jordan gehen und einen jeglichen daselbst Holz holen, daß wir uns daselbst eine Stätte bauen, da wir wohnen. Er sprach: Gehet hin!(dhs) 2Ki 6:2 Please, let us go to the Jordan, and let every man take a beam from there, and let us make there a place where we may dwell." So he answered, "Go."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:3 ============ 2Ki 6:3 Then one said, "Please be willing to go with your servants." And he answered, "I shall go."(nasb) 2Ki 6:3 καὶ εἶπεν ὠεἷς á¼Ï€Î¹ÎµÎ¹Îºá½³Ï‰Ï‚ δεῦÏο μετὰ τῶν δούλων σου καὶ εἶπεν á¼Î³á½¼ ποÏεύσομαι (lxx) 2Ki 6:3 Et ait unus ex illis: Veni ergo et tu cum servis tuis. Respondit: Ego veniam.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:3 Und einer sprach: Gehe lieber mit deinen Knechten! Er sprach: Ich will mitgehen.(dhs) 2Ki 6:3 Then one said, "Please consent to go with your servants." And he answered, "I will go."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:4 ============ 2Ki 6:4 So he went with them; and when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees.(nasb) 2Ki 6:4 καὶ á¼Ï€Î¿Ïεύθη μετ᾽ αá½Ï„ῶν καὶ ἦλθον εἰς τὸν ΙοÏδάνην καὶ ἔτεμνον τὰ ξύλα (lxx) 2Ki 6:4 Et abiit cum eis. Cumque venissent ad Jordanem, cædebant ligna.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:4 Und er kam mit ihnen. Und da sie an den Jordan kamen hieben sie Holz ab.(dhs) 2Ki 6:4 So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:5 ============ 2Ki 6:5 But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, "Alas, my master! For it was borrowed."(nasb) 2Ki 6:5 καὶ ἰδοὺ ὠεἷς καταβάλλων τὴν δοκόν καὶ τὸ σιδήÏιον á¼Î¾á½³Ï€ÎµÏƒÎµÎ½ εἰς τὸ á½•Î´Ï‰Ï ÎºÎ±á½¶ á¼Î²á½¹Î·ÏƒÎµÎ½ ὦ κύÏιε καὶ αá½Ï„ὸ κεχÏημένον (lxx) 2Ki 6:5 Accidit autem ut cum unus materiam succidisset, caderet ferrum securis in aquam: exclamavitque ille, et ait: Heu! heu! heu! domine mi: et hoc ipsum mutuo acceperam.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:5 Und da einer sein Holz fällte, fiel das Eisen ins Wasser. At ille monstravit ei locum. Præcidit ergo lignum, et misit illuc: natavitque ferrum,(vulgate) 2Ki 6:6 Aber der Mann Gottes sprach: Wo ist's entfallen? Qui extendit manum, et tulit illud.~(vulgate) 2Ki 6:7 Und er sprach: Heb's auf! da reckte er seine Hand aus und nahm's.(dhs) 2Ki 6:7 Therefore he said, "Pick it up for yourself." So he reached out his hand and took it.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:8 ============ 2Ki 6:8 Now the king of Aram was warring against Israel; and he counseled with his servants saying, "In such and such a place shall be my camp."(nasb) 2Ki 6:8 καὶ βασιλεὺς ΣυÏίας ἦν πολεμῶν á¼Î½ ΙσÏαηλ καὶ á¼Î²Î¿Ï…λεύσατο Ï€Ïὸς τοὺς παῖδας αá½Ï„οῦ λέγων εἰς τὸν τόπον τόνδε τινὰ ελμωνι παÏεμβαλῶ (lxx) 2Ki 6:8 Rex autem Syriæ pugnabat contra Israël, consiliumque iniit cum servis suis, dicens: In loco illo et illo ponamus insidias.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:8 Und der König von Syrien führte einen Krieg wider Israel und beratschlagte sich mit seinen Knechten und sprach: Wir wollen uns lagern da und da.(dhs) 2Ki 6:8 Now the king of Syria was making war against Israel; and he consulted with his servants, saying, "My camp will be in such and such a place."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:9 ============ 2Ki 6:9 The man of God sent word to the king of Israel saying, "Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Arameans are coming down there."(nasb) 2Ki 6:9 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Ελισαιε Ï€Ïὸς τὸν βασιλέα ΙσÏαηλ λέγων φύλαξαι μὴ παÏελθεῖν á¼Î½ τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ ὅτι á¼ÎºÎµá¿– ΣυÏία κέκÏυπται (lxx) 2Ki 6:9 Misit itaque vir Dei ad regem Israël, dicens: Cave ne transeas in locum illum: quia ibi Syri in insidiis sunt.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:9 Aber der Mann Gottes sandte zum König Israels und ließ ihm sagen: Hüte dich, daß du nicht an dem Ort vorüberziehst; denn die Syrer ruhen daselbst.(dhs) 2Ki 6:9 And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, "Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are coming down there."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:10 ============ 2Ki 6:10 The king of Israel sent to the place about which the man of God had told him; thus he warned him, so that he guarded himself there, more than once or twice.(nasb) 2Ki 6:10 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ὠβασιλεὺς ΙσÏαηλ εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν εἶπεν αá½Ï„á¿· Ελισαιε καὶ á¼Ï†Ï…λάξατο á¼ÎºÎµá¿–θεν οὠμίαν οá½Î´á½² δύο (lxx) 2Ki 6:10 Misit itaque rex Israël ad locum quem dixerat ei vir Dei, et præoccupavit eum, et observavit se ibi non semel neque bis.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:10 So sandte denn der König Israels hin an den Ort, den ihm der Mann Gottes gesagt und vor dem er ihn gewarnt hatte, und war daselbst auf der Hut; und tat das nicht einmal oder zweimal allein.(dhs) 2Ki 6:10 Then the king of Israel sent someone to the place of which the man of God had told him. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:11 ============ 2Ki 6:11 Now the heart of the king of Aram was enraged over this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, "Will you tell me which of us is for the king of Israel?"(nasb) 2Ki 6:11 καὶ á¼Î¾ÎµÎºÎ¹Î½á½µÎ¸Î· ἡ ψυχὴ βασιλέως ΣυÏίας πεÏá½¶ τοῦ λόγου τούτου καὶ á¼Îºá½±Î»ÎµÏƒÎµÎ½ τοὺς παῖδας αá½Ï„οῦ καὶ εἶπεν Ï€Ïὸς αá½Ï„ούς οá½Îº ἀναγγελεῖτέ μοι τίς Ï€Ïοδίδωσίν με βασιλεῖ ΙσÏαηλ (lxx) 2Ki 6:11 Conturbatumque est cor regis Syriæ pro hac re: et convocatis servis suis, ait: Quare non indicatis mihi quis proditor mei sit apud regem Israël?(vulgate) 2Ki 6:11 Da ward das Herz des Königs von Syrien voll Unmuts darüber, und er rief seine Knechte und sprach zu ihnen: Wollt ihr mir denn nicht ansagen: Wer von den Unsern hält es mit dem König Israels?(dhs) 2Ki 6:11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, "Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?"(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:12 ============ 2Ki 6:12 One of his servants said, "No, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom."(nasb) 2Ki 6:12 καὶ εἶπεν εἷς τῶν παίδων αá½Ï„οῦ οá½Ï‡á½· κύÏιέ μου βασιλεῦ ὅτι Ελισαιε ὠπÏοφήτης á½ á¼Î½ ΙσÏαηλ ἀναγγέλλει τῷ βασιλεῖ ΙσÏαηλ πάντας τοὺς λόγους οὓς á¼á½°Î½ λαλήσῃς á¼Î½ τῷ ταμιείῳ τοῦ κοιτῶνός σου (lxx) 2Ki 6:12 Dixitque unus servorum ejus: Nequaquam, domine mi rex, sed Eliseus propheta qui est in Israël, indicat regi Israël omnia verba quæcumque locutus fueris in conclavi tuo.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:12 Da sprach seiner Knechte einer: Nicht also, mein Herr König; sondern Elisa, der Prophet in Israel, sagt alles dem König Israels, was du in der Kammer redest, da dein Lager ist.(dhs) 2Ki 6:12 And one of his servants said, "None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:13 ============ 2Ki 6:13 So he said, "Go and see where he is, that I may send and take him." And it was told him, saying, "Behold, he is in Dothan."(nasb) 2Ki 6:13 καὶ εἶπεν δεῦτε ἴδετε ποῦ οὗτος καὶ ἀποστείλας λήμψομαι αá½Ï„όν καὶ ἀνήγγειλαν αá½Ï„á¿· λέγοντες ἰδοὺ á¼Î½ Δωθαϊμ (lxx) 2Ki 6:13 Dixitque eis: Ite, et videte ubi sit, ut mittam, et capiam eum. Annuntiaveruntque ei, dicentes: Ecce in Dothan.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:13 Er sprach: So gehet hin und sehet, wo er ist, daß ich hinsende und lasse ihn holen. Und sie zeigten ihm an und sprachen: Siehe, er ist zu Dothan.(dhs) 2Ki 6:13 So he said, "Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him." And it was told him, saying, "Surely he is in Dothan."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:14 ============ 2Ki 6:14 He sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city.(nasb) 2Ki 6:14 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν á¼ÎºÎµá¿– ἵππον καὶ á¼…Ïμα καὶ δύναμιν βαÏεῖαν καὶ ἦλθον νυκτὸς καὶ πεÏιεκύκλωσαν τὴν πόλιν (lxx) 2Ki 6:14 Misit ergo illuc equos et currus, et robur exercitus: qui cum venissent nocte, circumdederunt civitatem.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:14 Da sandte er hin Rosse und Wagen und eine große Macht. Und da sie bei der Nacht hinkamen, umgaben sie die Stadt.(dhs) 2Ki 6:14 Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:15 ============ 2Ki 6:15 Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"(nasb) 2Ki 6:15 καὶ ὤÏθÏισεν ὠλειτουÏγὸς Ελισαιε ἀναστῆναι καὶ á¼Î¾á¿†Î»Î¸ÎµÎ½ καὶ ἰδοὺ δύναμις κυκλοῦσα τὴν πόλιν καὶ ἵππος καὶ á¼…Ïμα καὶ εἶπεν τὸ παιδάÏιον Ï€Ïὸς αá½Ï„όν ὦ κύÏιε πῶς ποιήσωμεν (lxx) 2Ki 6:15 Consurgens autem diluculo minister viri Dei, egressus vidit exercitum in circuitu civitatis, et equos et currus: nuntiavitque ei, dicens: Heu! heu! heu! domine mi: quid faciemus?(vulgate) 2Ki 6:15 Und der Diener des Mannes Gottes stand früh auf, daß er sich aufmachte und auszöge; und siehe, da lag eine Macht um die Stadt mit Rossen und Wagen. Da sprach sein Diener zu ihm: O weh, mein Herr! wie wollen wir nun tun?(dhs) 2Ki 6:15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:16 ============ 2Ki 6:16 So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."(nasb) 2Ki 6:16 καὶ εἶπεν Ελισαιε μὴ φοβοῦ ὅτι πλείους οἱ μεθ᾽ ἡμῶν á½‘Ï€á½²Ï Ï„Î¿á½ºÏ‚ μετ᾽ αá½Ï„ῶν (lxx) 2Ki 6:16 At ille respondit: Noli timere: plures enim nobiscum sunt, quam cum illis.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:16 Er sprach: Fürchte dich nicht! denn derer ist mehr, die bei uns sind, als derer, die bei ihnen sind.(dhs) 2Ki 6:16 So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:17 ============ 2Ki 6:17 Then Elisha prayed and said, "O Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." And the Lord opened the servant's eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.(nasb) 2Ki 6:17 καὶ Ï€Ïοσεύξατο Ελισαιε καὶ εἶπεν κύÏιε διάνοιξον τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς τοῦ παιδαÏίου καὶ ἰδέτω καὶ διήνοιξεν κύÏιος τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αá½Ï„οῦ καὶ εἶδεν καὶ ἰδοὺ τὸ ὄÏος πλῆÏες ἵππων καὶ á¼…Ïμα πυÏὸς πεÏικύκλῳ Ελισαιε (lxx) 2Ki 6:17 Cumque orasset Eliseus, ait: Domine, aperi oculos hujus, ut videat. Et aperuit Dominus oculos pueri, et vidit: et ecce mons plenus equorum et curruum igneorum in circuitu Elisei.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:17 Und Elisa betete und sprach: HERR, öffne ihm die Augen, daß er sehe! Da öffnete der HERR dem Diener die Augen, daß er sah; und siehe, da war der Berg voll feuriger Rosse und Wagen um Elisa her.(dhs) 2Ki 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, "Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:18 ============ 2Ki 6:18 When they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord and said, "Strike this people with blindness, I pray." So He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.(nasb) 2Ki 6:18 καὶ κατέβησαν Ï€Ïὸς αá½Ï„όν καὶ Ï€Ïοσηύξατο Ελισαιε Ï€Ïὸς κύÏιον καὶ εἶπεν πάταξον δὴ τοῦτο τὸ ἔθνος ἀοÏασίᾳ καὶ á¼Ï€á½±Ï„αξεν αá½Ï„οὺς ἀοÏασίᾳ κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμα Ελισαιε (lxx) 2Ki 6:18 Hostes vero descenderunt ad eum: porro Eliseus oravit ad Dominum, dicens: Percute, obsecro, gentem hanc cæcitate. Percussitque eos Dominus ne viderent, juxta verbum Elisei.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:18 Und da sie zu ihm hinabkamen, bat Elisa und sprach: HERR, schlage dies Volk mit Blindheit! Und er schlug sie mit Blindheit nach dem Wort Elisas.(dhs) 2Ki 6:18 So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said, "Strike this people, I pray, with blindness." And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:19 ============ 2Ki 6:19 Then Elisha said to them, "This is not the way, nor is this the city; follow me and I will bring you to the man whom you seek." And he brought them to Samaria.(nasb) 2Ki 6:19 καὶ εἶπεν Ï€Ïὸς αá½Ï„οὺς Ελισαιε οá½Ï‡ αὕτη ἡ πόλις καὶ αὕτη ἡ á½Î´á½¹Ï‚ δεῦτε ὀπίσω μου καὶ ἀπάξω ὑμᾶς Ï€Ïὸς τὸν ἄνδÏα ὃν ζητεῖτε καὶ ἀπήγαγεν αá½Ï„οὺς εἰς ΣαμάÏειαν (lxx) 2Ki 6:19 Dixit autem ad eos Eliseus: Non est hæc via, neque ista est civitas: sequimini me, et ostendam vobis virum quem quæritis. Duxit ergo eos in Samariam:(vulgate) 2Ki 6:19 Und Elisa sprach zu Ihnen: Dies ist nicht der Weg noch die Stadt. Folget mir nach! ich will euch führen zu dem Mann, den ihr sucht. Und er führte sie gen Samaria.(dhs) 2Ki 6:19 Now Elisha said to them, "This is not the way, nor is this the city. Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek." But he led them to Samaria.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:20 ============ 2Ki 6:20 When they had come into Samaria, Elisha said, "O Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see." So the Lord opened their eyes and they saw; and behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.(nasb) 2Ki 6:20 καὶ á¼Î³á½³Î½ÎµÏ„ο ὡς εἰσῆλθον εἰς ΣαμάÏειαν καὶ εἶπεν Ελισαιε ἄνοιξον δή κύÏιε τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αá½Ï„ῶν καὶ ἰδέτωσαν καὶ διήνοιξεν κύÏιος τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αá½Ï„ῶν καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδοὺ ἦσαν á¼Î½ μέσῳ ΣαμαÏείας (lxx) 2Ki 6:20 cumque ingressi fuissent in Samariam, dixit Eliseus: Domine, aperi oculos istorum, ut videant. Aperuitque Dominus oculos eorum, et viderunt se esse in medio Samariæ.(vulgate) 2Ki 6:20 Und da sie gen Samaria kamen, sprach Elisa: HERR, öffne diesen die Augen, daß sie sehen! Und der HERR öffnete ihnen die Augen, daß sie sahen; und siehe, da waren sie mitten in Samaria.(dhs) 2Ki 6:20 So it was, when they had come to Samaria, that Elisha said, "Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see." And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and there they were, inside Samaria!(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:21 ============ 2Ki 6:21 Then the king of Israel when he saw them, said to Elisha, "My father, shall I kill them? Shall I kill them?"(nasb) 2Ki 6:21 καὶ εἶπεν ὠβασιλεὺς ΙσÏαηλ ὡς εἶδεν αá½Ï„ούς εἰ πατάξας πατάξω Ï€á½±Ï„ÎµÏ (lxx) 2Ki 6:21 Dixitque rex Israël ad Eliseum, cum vidisset eos: Numquid percutiam eos, pater mi?(vulgate) 2Ki 6:21 Und der König Israels, da er sie sah, sprach er zu Elisa: Mein Vater, soll ich sie schlagen?(dhs) 2Ki 6:21 Now when the king of Israel saw them, he said to Elisha, "My father, shall I kill them? Shall I kill them?"(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 6:22 ============ 2Ki 6:22 He answered, "You shall not kill them. Would you kill those you have taken captive with your sword and with your bow?
