And he said, "In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 7:3 ============ 2Ki 7:3 Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, "Why do we sit here until we die?(nasb) 2Ki 7:3 καὶ τέσσαÏες ἄνδÏες ἦσαν λεπÏοὶ παÏá½° τὴν θύÏαν τῆς πόλεως καὶ εἶπεν á¼€Î½á½´Ï Ï€Ïὸς τὸν πλησίον αá½Ï„οῦ τί ἡμεῖς καθήμεθα ὧδε ἕως ἀποθάνωμεν (lxx) 2Ki 7:3 Quatuor ergo viri erant leprosi juxta introitum portæ: qui dixerunt ad invicem: Quid hic esse volumus donec moriamur?(vulgate) 2Ki 7:3 Und es waren vier aussätzige Männer an der Tür vor dem Tor; und einer sprach zum andern: Was wollen wir hier bleiben, bis wir sterben?(dhs) 2Ki 7:3 Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, "Why are we sitting here until we die?(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 7:4 ============ 2Ki 7:4 If we say, 'We will enter the city,' then the famine is in the city and we will die there; and if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us go over to the camp of the Arameans. If they spare us, we will live; and if they kill us, we will but die."(nasb) 2Ki 7:4 á¼á½°Î½ εἴπωμεν εἰσέλθωμεν εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ ὠλιμὸς á¼Î½ τῇ πόλει καὶ ἀποθανούμεθα á¼ÎºÎµá¿– καὶ á¼á½°Î½ καθίσωμεν ὧδε καὶ ἀποθανούμεθα καὶ νῦν δεῦτε καὶ á¼Î¼Ï€á½³ÏƒÏ‰Î¼ÎµÎ½ εἰς τὴν παÏεμβολὴν ΣυÏίας á¼á½°Î½ ζωογονήσωσιν ἡμᾶς καὶ ζησόμεθα καὶ á¼á½°Î½ θανατώσωσιν ἡμᾶς καὶ ἀποθανούμεθα (lxx) 2Ki 7:4 sive ingredi voluerimus civitatem, fame moriemur: sive manserimus hic, moriendum nobis est: venite ergo, et transfugiamus ad castra Syriæ: si pepercerint nobis, vivemus: si autem occidere voluerint, nihilominus moriemur.(vulgate) 2Ki 7:4 Wenn wir gleich gedächten, in die Stadt zu kommen, so ist Teuerung in der Stadt, und wir müßten doch daselbst sterben; bleiben wir aber hier, so müssen wir auch sterben. So laßt uns nun hingehen und zu dem Heer der Syrer fallen. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 7:5 ============ 2Ki 7:5 They arose at twilight to go to the camp of the Arameans; when they came to the outskirts of the camp of the Arameans, behold, there was no one there.(nasb) 2Ki 7:5 καὶ ἀνέστησαν á¼Î½ τῷ σκότει εἰσελθεῖν εἰς τὴν παÏεμβολὴν ΣυÏίας καὶ ἦλθον εἰς μέÏος τῆς παÏεμβολῆς ΣυÏίας καὶ ἰδοὺ οá½Îº ἔστιν á¼€Î½á½´Ï á¼ÎºÎµá¿– (lxx) 2Ki 7:5 Surrexerunt ergo vesperi, ut venirent ad castra Syriæ. Cumque venissent ad principium castrorum Syriæ, nullum ibidem repererunt.(vulgate) 2Ki 7:5 Und sie machten sich in der Frühe auf, daß sie zum Heer der Syrer kämen. This day is a day of good news, but we are keeping silent; if we wait until morning light, punishment will overtake us. Now therefore come, let us go and tell the king's household."(nasb) 2Ki 7:9 καὶ εἶπεν á¼€Î½á½´Ï Ï€Ïὸς τὸν πλησίον αá½Ï„οῦ οá½Ï‡ οὕτως ἡμεῖς ποιοῦμεν ἡ ἡμέÏα αὕτη ἡμέÏα εá½Î±Î³Î³ÎµÎ»á½·Î±Ï‚ á¼ÏƒÏ„ίν καὶ ἡμεῖς σιωπῶμεν καὶ μένομεν ἕως φωτὸς τοῦ Ï€Ïωὶ καὶ εὑÏήσομεν ἀνομίαν καὶ νῦν δεῦÏο καὶ εἰσέλθωμεν καὶ ἀναγγείλωμεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ βασιλέως (lxx) 2Ki 7:9 Dixeruntque ad invicem: Non recte facimus: hæc enim dies boni nuntii est. Si tacuerimus et noluerimus nuntiare usque mane, sceleris arguemur: venite, eamus, et nuntiemus in aula regis.(vulgate) 2Ki 7:9 Aber einer sprach zum andern: Laßt uns nicht also tun; dieser Tag ist ein Tag guter Botschaft. Wo wir das verschweigen und harren, bis daß es lichter Morgen wird, wird unsre Missetat gefunden werden; so laßt uns nun hingehen, daß wir kommen und es ansagen dem Hause des Königs.(dhs) 2Ki 7:9 Then they said to one another, "We are not doing right. Now therefore, come, let us go and tell the king's household."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 7:10 ============ 2Ki 7:10 So they came and called to the gatekeepers of the city, and they told them, saying, "We came to the camp of the Arameans, and behold, there was no one there, nor the voice of man, only the horses tied and the donkeys tied, and the tents just as they were."(nasb) 2Ki 7:10 καὶ εἰσῆλθον καὶ á¼Î²á½¹Î·ÏƒÎ±Î½ Ï€Ïὸς τὴν πύλην τῆς πόλεως καὶ ἀνήγγειλαν αá½Ï„οῖς λέγοντες εἰσήλθομεν εἰς τὴν παÏεμβολὴν ΣυÏίας καὶ ἰδοὺ οá½Îº ἔστιν á¼ÎºÎµá¿– á¼€Î½á½´Ï ÎºÎ±á½¶ φωνὴ ἀνθÏώπου ὅτι εἰ μὴ ἵππος δεδεμένος καὶ ὄνος καὶ αἱ σκηναὶ αá½Ï„ῶν ὡς εἰσίν (lxx) 2Ki 7:10 Cumque venissent ad portam civitatis, narraverunt eis, dicentes: Ivimus ad castra Syriæ, et nullum ibidem reperimus hominem, nisi equos et asinos alligatos, et fixa tentoria.(vulgate) 2Ki 7:10 Und da sie kamen, riefen sie am Tor der Stadt und sagten es ihnen an und sprachen: Wir sind zum Lager der Syrer gekommen, und siehe, es ist niemand da und keine Menschenstimme, sondern Rosse und Esel angebunden und die Hütten, wie sie stehen.(dhs) 2Ki 7:10 So they went and called to the gatekeepers of the city, and told them, saying, "We went to the Syrian camp, and surprisingly no one was there, not a human sound--only horses and donkeys tied, and the tents intact."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 7:11 ============ 2Ki 7:11 The gatekeepers called and told it within the king's household.(nasb) 2Ki 7:11 καὶ á¼Î²á½¹Î·ÏƒÎ±Î½ οἱ θυÏωÏοὶ καὶ ἀνήγγειλαν εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ βασιλέως ἔσω (lxx) 2Ki 7:11 Ierunt ergo portarii, et nuntiaverunt in palatio regis intrinsecus.(vulgate) 2Ki 7:11 Da rief man den Torhütern zu, daß sie es drinnen ansagten im Hause des Königs.(dhs) 2Ki 7:11 And the gatekeepers called out, and they told it to the king's household inside.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 7:12 ============ 2Ki 7:12 Then the king arose in the night and said to his servants, "I will now tell you what the Arameans have done to us. They know that we are hungry; therefore they have gone from the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, 'When they come out of the city, we will capture them alive and get into the city.'"(nasb) 2Ki 7:12 καὶ ἀνέστη ὠβασιλεὺς νυκτὸς καὶ εἶπεν Ï€Ïὸς τοὺς παῖδας αá½Ï„οῦ ἀναγγελῶ δὴ ὑμῖν ἃ á¼Ï€Î¿á½·Î·ÏƒÎµÎ½ ἡμῖν ΣυÏία ἔγνωσαν ὅτι πεινῶμεν ἡμεῖς καὶ á¼Î¾á¿†Î»Î¸Î±Î½ á¼Îº τῆς παÏεμβολῆς καὶ á¼ÎºÏύβησαν á¼Î½ τῷ ἀγÏá¿· λέγοντες ὅτι á¼Î¾ÎµÎ»Îµá½»ÏƒÎ¿Î½Ï„αι á¼Îº τῆς πόλεως καὶ συλλημψόμεθα αá½Ï„οὺς ζῶντας καὶ εἰς τὴν πόλιν εἰσελευσόμεθα (lxx) 2Ki 7:12 Qui surrexit nocte, et ait ad servos suos: Dico vobis quid fecerint nobis Syri: sciunt quia fame laboramus, et idcirco egressi sunt de castris, et latitant in agris, dicentes: Cum egressi fuerint de civitate, capiemus eos vivos, et tunc civitatem ingredi poterimus.(vulgate) 2Ki 7:12 Und der König stand auf in der Nacht und sprach zu seinen Knechten: Laßt euch sagen, wie die Syrer mit uns umgehen. Sie wissen, daß wir Hunger leiden, und sind aus dem Lager gegangen, daß sie sich im Felde verkröchen, und denken: Wenn sie aus der Stadt gehen, wollen wir sie lebendig greifen und in die Stadt kommen.(dhs) 2Ki 7:12 So the king arose in the night and said to his servants, "Let me now tell you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we are hungry; therefore they have gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, 'When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.' "(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 7:13 ============ 2Ki 7:13 One of his servants said, "Please, let some men take five of the horses which remain, which are left in the city. Behold, they will be in any case like all the multitude of Israel who are left in it; behold, they will be in any case like all the multitude of Israel who have already perished, so let us send and see."(nasb) 2Ki 7:13 καὶ ἀπεκÏίθη εἷς τῶν παίδων αá½Ï„οῦ καὶ εἶπεν λαβέτωσαν δὴ πέντε τῶν ἵππων τῶν ὑπολελειμμένων οἳ κατελείφθησαν ὧδε ἰδού εἰσιν Ï€Ïὸς πᾶν τὸ πλῆθος ΙσÏαηλ τὸ á¼ÎºÎ»Îµá¿–πον καὶ ἀποστελοῦμεν á¼ÎºÎµá¿– καὶ ὀψόμεθα (lxx) 2Ki 7:13 Respondit autem unus servorum ejus: Tollamus quinque equos qui remanserunt in urbe (quia ipsi tantum sunt in universa multitudine Israël, alii enim consumpti sunt), et mittentes, explorare poterimus.(vulgate) 2Ki 7:13 Da antwortete seiner Knechte einer und sprach: Man nehme fünf Rosse von denen, die noch drinnen sind übriggeblieben. Siehe, es wird ihnen gehen, wie aller Menge Israels, so drinnen übriggeblieben oder schon dahin ist. Die laßt uns senden und sehen.(dhs) 2Ki 7:13 And one of his servants answered and said, "Please, let several men take five of the remaining horses which are left in the city. Look, they may either become like all the multitude of Israel that are left in it; or indeed, I say, they may become like all the multitude of Israel left from those who are consumed; so let us send them and see."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 7:14 ============ 2Ki 7:14 They took therefore two chariots with horses, and the king sent after the army of the Arameans, saying, "Go and see."(nasb) 2Ki 7:14 καὶ ἔλαβον δύο á¼Ï€Î¹Î²á½±Ï„ας ἵππων καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ὠβασιλεὺς ΙσÏαηλ ὀπίσω τοῦ βασιλέως ΣυÏίας λέγων δεῦτε καὶ ἴδετε (lxx) 2Ki 7:14 Adduxerunt ergo duos equos, misitque rex in castra Syrorum, dicens: Ite, et videte.(vulgate) 2Ki 7:14 Da nahmen sie zwei Wagen mit Rossen, und der König sandte sie dem Heere der Syrer nach und sprach: Ziehet hin und sehet!(dhs) 2Ki 7:14 Therefore they took two chariots with horses; and the king sent them in the direction of the Syrian army, saying, "Go and see."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 7:15 ============ 2Ki 7:15 They went after them to the Jordan, and behold, all the way was full of clothes and equipment which the Arameans had thrown away in their haste. Then the messengers returned and told the king.(nasb) 2Ki 7:15 καὶ á¼Ï€Î¿Ïεύθησαν ὀπίσω αá½Ï„ῶν ἕως τοῦ ΙοÏδάνου καὶ ἰδοὺ πᾶσα ἡ á½Î´á½¸Ï‚ πλήÏης ἱματίων καὶ σκευῶν ὧν á¼”ÏÏιψεν ΣυÏία á¼Î½ τῷ θαμβεῖσθαι αá½Ï„ούς καὶ á¼Ï€á½³ÏƒÏ„Ïεψαν οἱ ἄγγελοι καὶ ἀνήγγειλαν τῷ βασιλεῖ (lxx) 2Ki 7:15 Qui abierunt post eos usque ad Jordanem: ecce autem omnis via plena erat vestibus et vasis quæ projecerant Syri cum turbarentur: reversique nuntii indicaverunt regi.(vulgate) 2Ki 7:15 Und da sie ihnen nachzogen bis an den Jordan, siehe, da lag der Weg voll Kleider und Geräte, welche die Syrer von sich geworfen hatten, da sie eilten.
