Et factum est in mense Casleu, anno vigesimo, et ego eram in Susis castro.(vulgate) Neh 1:1 Dies sind die Geschichten Neh mias, des Sohnes Hachaljas. It came to pass in the month of Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the citadel,(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:2 ============ Neh 1:2 that Hanani, one of my brothers, and some men from Judah came; and I asked them concerning the Jews who had escaped and had survived the captivity, and about Jerusalem.(nasb) Neh 1:2 καὶ ἦλθεν Ανανι εἷς ἀπὸ ἀδελφῶν μου αá½Ï„ὸς καὶ ἄνδÏες Ιουδα καὶ á¼ Ïώτησα αá½Ï„οὺς πεÏá½¶ τῶν σωθέντων οἳ κατελείφθησαν ἀπὸ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας καὶ πεÏá½¶ ΙεÏουσαλημ (lxx) Neh 1:2 Et venit Hanani, unus de fratribus meis, ipse et viri ex Juda: et interrogavi eos de Judæis qui remanserant, et supererant de captivitate, et Jerusalem.(vulgate) Neh 1:2 da kam Hanani, einer meiner Brüder, mit etlichen Männern aus Juda. Und ich fragte sie, wie es den Juden ginge, die errettet und übrig waren von der Gefangenschaft, und wie es zu Jerusalem ginge.(dhs) Neh 1:2 that Hanani one of my brethren came with men from Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews who had escaped, who had survived the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:3 ============ Neh 1:3 They said to me, "The remnant there in the province who survived the captivity are in great distress and reproach, and the wall of Jerusalem is broken down and its gates are burned with fire."(nasb) Neh 1:3 καὶ εἴποσαν Ï€Ïός με οἱ καταλειπόμενοι οἱ καταλειφθέντες ἀπὸ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας á¼ÎºÎµá¿– á¼Î½ τῇ χώÏá¾³ á¼Î½ πονηÏá½·á¾³ μεγάλῃ καὶ á¼Î½ ὀνειδισμῷ καὶ τείχη ΙεÏουσαλημ καθῃÏημένα καὶ αἱ πύλαι αá½Ï„ῆς á¼Î½ÎµÏ€Ïήσθησαν á¼Î½ πυÏá½· (lxx) Neh 1:3 Et dixerunt mihi: Qui remanserunt, et relicti sunt de captivitate ibi in provincia, in afflictione magna sunt, et in opprobrio: et murus Jerusalem dissipatus est, et portæ ejus combustæ sunt igni.(vulgate) Neh 1:3 Und sie sprachen zu mir: Die übrigen von der Gefangenschaft sind daselbst im Lande in großem Unglück und Schmach; die Mauern Jerusalems sind zerbrochen und seine Tore mit Feuer verbrannt.(dhs) Neh 1:3 And they said to me, "The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire."(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:4 ============ Neh 1:4 When I heard these words, I sat down and wept and mourned for days; and I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.(nasb) Neh 1:4 καὶ á¼Î³á½³Î½ÎµÏ„ο á¼Î½ τῷ ἀκοῦσαί με τοὺς λόγους τούτους á¼Îºá½±Î¸Î¹ÏƒÎ± καὶ ἔκλαυσα καὶ á¼Ï€á½³Î½Î¸Î·ÏƒÎ± ἡμέÏας καὶ ἤμην νηστεύων καὶ Ï€Ïοσευχόμενος á¼Î½á½½Ï€Î¹Î¿Î½ θεοῦ τοῦ οá½Ïανοῦ (lxx) Neh 1:4 Cumque audissem verba hujuscemodi, sedi, et flevi, et luxi diebus multis: jejunabam, et orabam ante faciem Dei cæli:(vulgate) Neh 1:4 Da ich aber solche Worte hörte, saß ich und weinte und trug Leid etliche Tage und fastete und betete vor dem Gott des Himmels(dhs) Neh 1:4 So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:5 ============ Neh 1:5 I said, "I beseech You, O Lord God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who preserves the covenant and lovingkindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments,(nasb) Neh 1:5 καὶ εἶπα μὴ δή κύÏιε ὠθεὸς τοῦ οá½Ïανοῦ ὠἰσχυÏὸς ὠμέγας καὶ ὠφοβεÏός φυλάσσων τὴν διαθήκην καὶ τὸ ἔλεος τοῖς ἀγαπῶσιν αá½Ï„ὸν καὶ τοῖς φυλάσσουσιν τὰς á¼Î½Ï„ολὰς αá½Ï„οῦ (lxx) Neh 1:5 et dixi: Quæso, Domine Deus cæli fortis, magne atque terribilis, qui custodis pactum et misericordiam cum his qui te diligunt, et custodiunt mandata tua:(vulgate) Neh 1:5 und sprach: Ach HERR, Gott des Himmels, großer und schrecklicher Gott, der da hält den Bund und die Barmherzigkeit denen, die ihn lieben und seine Gebote halten,(dhs) Neh 1:5 And I said: "I pray, Lord God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments,(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:6 ============ Neh 1:6 let Your ear now be attentive and Your eyes open to hear the prayer of Your servant which I am praying before You now, day and night, on behalf of the sons of Israel Your servants, confessing the sins of the sons of Israel which we have sinned against You; I and my father's house have sinned.(nasb) Neh 1:6 ἔστω δὴ τὸ οὖς σου Ï€Ïοσέχον καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου ἀνεῳγμένοι τοῦ ἀκοῦσαι Ï€Ïοσευχὴν δούλου σου ἣν á¼Î³á½¼ Ï€Ïοσεύχομαι á¼Î½á½½Ï€Î¹á½¹Î½ σου σήμεÏον ἡμέÏαν καὶ νύκτα πεÏá½¶ υἱῶν ΙσÏαηλ δούλων σου καὶ á¼Î¾Î±Î³Î¿Ïεύω á¼Ï€á½¶ á¼Î¼Î±Ïτίαις υἱῶν ΙσÏαηλ ἃς ἡμάÏτομέν σοι καὶ á¼Î³á½¼ καὶ ὠοἶκος πατÏός μου ἡμάÏτομεν (lxx) Neh 1:6 fiant aures tuæ auscultantes, et oculi tui aperti, ut audias orationem servi tui, quam ego oro coram te hodie nocte et die pro filiis Israël servis tuis: et confiteor pro peccatis filiorum Israël, quibus peccaverunt tibi: ego et domus patris mei peccavimus,(vulgate) Neh 1:6 laß doch deine Ohren aufmerken und deine Augen offen sein, daß du hörst das Gebet deines Knechtes, das ich nun vor dir bete Tag und Nacht für die Kinder Israel, deine Knechte, und bekenne die Sünden der Kinder Israel, die wir an dir getan haben; und ich und meines Vaters Haus haben auch gesündigt.(dhs) Neh 1:6 please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father's house and I have sinned.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:7 ============ Neh 1:7 We have acted very corruptly against You and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.(nasb) Neh 1:7 διαλύσει διελύσαμεν Ï€Ïὸς σὲ καὶ οá½Îº á¼Ï†Ï…λάξαμεν τὰς á¼Î½Ï„ολὰς καὶ τὰ Ï€Ïοστάγματα καὶ τὰ κÏίματα ἃ á¼Î½ÎµÏ„είλω τῷ Μωυσῇ παιδί σου (lxx) Neh 1:7 vanitate seducti sumus, et non custodivimus mandatum tuum, et cæremonias, et judicia quæ præcepisti Moysi famulo tuo.(vulgate) Neh 1:7 Wir haben an dir mißgehandelt, daß wir nicht gehalten haben die Gebote, Befehle und Rechte, die du geboten hast deinem Knecht Mose.(dhs) Neh 1:7 We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:8 ============ Neh 1:8 Remember the word which You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful I will scatter you among the peoples;(nasb) Neh 1:8 μνήσθητι δὴ τὸν λόγον ὃν á¼Î½ÎµÏ„είλω τῷ Μωυσῇ παιδί σου λέγων ὑμεῖς á¼á½°Î½ ἀσυνθετήσητε á¼Î³á½¼ διασκοÏπιῶ ὑμᾶς á¼Î½ τοῖς λαοῖς (lxx) Neh 1:8 Memento verbi quod mandasti Moysi servo tuo, dicens: Cum transgressi fueritis, ego dispergam vos in populos:(vulgate) Neh 1:8 Gedenke aber doch des Wortes, das du deinem Knecht Mose gebotest und sprachst: Wenn ihr euch versündigt, so will ich euch unter die Völker streuen.(dhs) Neh 1:8 Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations;(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:9 ============ Neh 1:9 but if you return to Me and keep My commandments and do them, though those of you who have been scattered were in the most remote part of the heavens, I will gather them from there and will bring them to the place where I have chosen to cause My name to dwell.'(nasb) Neh 1:9 καὶ á¼á½°Î½ á¼Ï€Î¹ÏƒÏ„Ïέψητε Ï€Ïός με καὶ φυλάξητε τὰς á¼Î½Ï„ολάς μου καὶ ποιήσητε αá½Ï„άς á¼á½°Î½ á¾– ἡ διασποÏá½° ὑμῶν ἀπ᾽ ἄκÏου τοῦ οá½Ïανοῦ á¼ÎºÎµá¿–θεν συνάξω αá½Ï„οὺς καὶ εἰσάξω αá½Ï„οὺς εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν á¼Î¾ÎµÎ»ÎµÎ¾á½±Î¼Î·Î½ κατασκηνῶσαι τὸ ὄνομά μου á¼ÎºÎµá¿– (lxx) Neh 1:9 et si revertamini ad me, et custodiatis præcepta mea, et faciatis ea: etiamsi abducti fueritis ad extrema cæli, inde congregabo vos, et reducam in locum quem elegi ut habitaret nomen meum ibi.(vulgate) Neh 1:9 Wo ihr euch aber bekehrt zu mir und haltet meine Gebote und tut sie, und ob ihr verstoßen wäret bis an der Himmel Ende, so will ich euch doch von da versammeln und will euch bringen an den Ort, den ich erwählt habe, daß mein Name daselbst wohne.(dhs) Neh 1:9 but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.'(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:10 ============ Neh 1:10 They are Your servants and Your people whom You redeemed by Your great power and by Your strong hand.(nasb) Neh 1:10 καὶ αá½Ï„οὶ παῖδές σου καὶ λαός σου οὓς á¼Î»Ï…Ï„Ïώσω á¼Î½ δυνάμει σου τῇ μεγάλῃ καὶ á¼Î½ τῇ χειÏá½· σου τῇ κÏαταιᾷ (lxx) Neh 1:10 Et ipsi servi tui, et populus tuus, quos redemisti in fortitudine tua magna, et in manu tua valida.(vulgate) Neh 1:10 Sie sind ja doch deine Knechte und dein Volk, die du erlöst hast durch deine große Kraft und mächtige Hand.(dhs) Neh 1:10 Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:11 ============ Neh 1:11 O Lord, I beseech You, may Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant and the prayer of Your servants who delight to revere Your name, and make Your servant successful today and grant him compassion before this man." Now I was the cupbearer to the king.(nasb) Neh 1:11 μὴ δή κύÏιε ἀλλ᾽ ἔστω τὸ οὖς σου Ï€Ïοσέχον εἰς τὴν Ï€Ïοσευχὴν τοῦ δούλου σου καὶ εἰς τὴν Ï€Ïοσευχὴν παίδων σου τῶν θελόντων φοβεῖσθαι τὸ ὄνομά σου καὶ εá½á½¹Î´Ï‰ÏƒÎ¿Î½ δὴ τῷ παιδί σου σήμεÏον καὶ δὸς αá½Ï„ὸν εἰς οἰκτιÏμοὺς á¼Î½á½½Ï€Î¹Î¿Î½ τοῦ ἀνδÏὸς τούτου καὶ á¼Î³á½¼ ἤμην οἰνοχόος τῷ βασιλεῖ (lxx) Neh 1:11 Obsecro, Domine, sit auris tua attendens ad orationem servi tui, et ad orationem servorum tuorum, qui volunt timere nomen tuum: et dirige servum tuum hodie, et da ei misericordiam ante virum hunc. Ego enim eram pincerna regis.(vulgate) Neh 1:11 Ach HERR, laß deine Ohren aufmerken auf das Gebet deines Knechtes und auf das Gebet deiner Knechte, die da begehren deinen Namen zu fürchten; und laß es deinem Knecht heute gelingen und gib ihm Barmherzigkeit vor diesem Manne! Denn ich war des Königs Schenke.(dhs) Neh 1:11 O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man."
