Lustrans universa in circuitu pergit spiritus, et in circulos suos revertitur.(vulgate) Ecl 1:6 Der Wind geht gen Mittag und kommt herum zur Mitternacht und wieder herum an den Ort, da er anfing.(dhs) Ecl 1:6 The wind goes toward the south, And turns around to the north; The wind whirls about continually, And comes again on its circuit.(nkjv) ======= Ecclesiastes 1:7 ============ Ecl 1:7 All the rivers flow into the sea, Yet the sea is not full. Non saturatur oculus visu, nec auris auditu impletur.(vulgate) Ecl 1:8 Es sind alle Dinge so voll Mühe, daß es niemand ausreden kann. Das Auge sieht sich nimmer satt, und das Ohr hört sich nimmer satt.(dhs) Ecl 1:8 All things are full of labor; Man cannot express it. Ipsum quod futurum est. Quid est quod factum est? Ipsum quod faciendum est.(vulgate) Ecl 1:9 Was ist's, das geschehen ist? Eben das hernach geschehen wird. Was ist's, das man getan hat? Es ist zuvor auch geschehen in den langen Zeiten, die vor uns gewesen sind.(dhs) Ecl 1:10 Is there anything of which it may be said, "See, this is new"? It is a grievous task which God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with.(nasb) Ecl 1:13 καὶ ἔδωκα τὴν καÏδίαν μου τοῦ á¼ÎºÎ¶Î·Ï„ῆσαι καὶ τοῦ κατασκέψασθαι á¼Î½ τῇ σοφίᾳ πεÏá½¶ πάντων τῶν γινομένων ὑπὸ τὸν οá½Ïανόν ὅτι πεÏισπασμὸν πονηÏὸν ἔδωκεν ὠθεὸς τοῖς υἱοῖς τοῦ ἀνθÏώπου τοῦ πεÏισπᾶσθαι á¼Î½ αá½Ï„á¿· (lxx) Ecl 1:13 et proposui in animo meo quærere et investigare sapienter de omnibus quæ fiunt sub sole. Hanc occupationem pessimam dedit Deus filiis hominum, ut occuparentur in ea.(vulgate) Ecl 1:13 und richtete mein Herz zu suchen und zu forschen weislich alles, was man unter dem Himmel tut.
