======= Daniel 6:1 ============ Dan 6:1 It seemed good to Darius to appoint 120 satraps over the kingdom, that they would be in charge of the whole kingdom,(nasb) Dan 6:1 καὶ ἈÏταξέÏξης ὠτῶν Μήδων παÏέλαβε τὴν βασιλείαν καὶ ΔαÏεῖος πλήÏης τῶν ἡμεÏῶν καὶ ἔνδοξος á¼Î½ γήÏει (lxx) Dan 6:1 Placuit Dario, et constituit super regnum satrapas centum viginti ut essent in toto regno suo.(vulgate) Dan 6:1 Und Darius sah es für gut an, daß er über das ganze Königreich setzte hundertzwanzig Landvögte.(dhs) Dan 6:1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty satraps, to be over the whole kingdom;(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:2 ============ Dan 6:2 and over them three commissioners (of whom Daniel was one), that these satraps might be accountable to them, and that the king might not suffer loss.(nasb) Dan 6:2 καὶ κατέστησε σατÏάπας ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι ἑπτὰ á¼Ï€á½¶ πάσης τῆς βασιλείας αá½Ï„οῦ (lxx) Dan 6:2 Et super eos principes tres, ex quibus Daniel unus erat: ut satrapae illis redderent rationem, et rex non sustineret molestiam.(vulgate) Dan 6:2 Über diese setzte er drei Fürsten, deren einer Dan el war, welchen die Landvögte sollten Rechnung tun, daß der König keinen Schaden litte.(dhs) Dan 6:2 and over these, three governors, of whom Daniel was one, that the satraps might give account to them, so that the king would suffer no loss.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:3 ============ Dan 6:3 Then this Daniel began distinguishing himself among the commissioners and satraps because he possessed an extraordinary spirit, and the king planned to appoint him over the entire kingdom.(nasb) Dan 6:3 καὶ á¼Ï€á¾½ αá½Ï„ῶν ἄνδÏας Ï„Ïεῖς ἡγουμένους αá½Ï„ῶν καὶ Δανιηλ εἷς ἦν τῶν Ï„Ïιῶν ἀνδÏῶν (lxx) Dan 6:3 Igitur Daniel superabat omnes principes et satrapas, quia spiritus Dei amplior erat in illo.(vulgate) Dan 6:3 Dan el aber übertraf die Fürsten und Landvögte alle, denn es war ein hoher Geist in ihm; darum gedachte der König, ihn über das ganze Königreich zu setzen.(dhs) Dan 6:3 Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:4 ============ Dan 6:4 Then the commissioners and satraps began trying to find a ground of accusation against Daniel in regard to government affairs; but they could find no ground of accusation or evidence of corruption, inasmuch as he was faithful, and no negligence or corruption was to be found in him.(nasb) Dan 6:4 á½‘Ï€á½²Ï Ï€á½±Î½Ï„Î±Ï‚ ἔχων á¼Î¾Î¿Ï…σίαν á¼Î½ τῇ βασιλείᾳ καὶ Δανιηλ ἦν á¼Î½Î´ÎµÎ´Ï…μένος ποÏφύÏαν καὶ μέγας καὶ ἔνδοξος ἔναντι ΔαÏείου τοῦ βασιλέως καθότι ἦν ἔνδοξος καὶ á¼Ï€Î¹ÏƒÏ„ήμων καὶ συνετός καὶ πνεῦμα ἅγιον á¼Î½ αá½Ï„á¿· καὶ εá½Î¿Î´Î¿á½»Î¼ÎµÎ½Î¿Ï‚ á¼Î½ ταῖς Ï€Ïαγματείαις τοῦ βασιλέως αἷς ἔπÏασσε τότε ὠβασιλεὺς á¼Î²Î¿Ï…λεύσατο καταστῆσαι τὸν Δανιηλ á¼Ï€á½¶ πάσης τῆς βασιλείας αá½Ï„οῦ καὶ τοὺς δύο ἄνδÏας οὓς κατέστησε μετ᾽ αá½Ï„οῦ καὶ σατÏάπας ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι ἑπτά (lxx) Dan 6:4 Porro rex cogitabat constituere eum super omne regnum: unde principes, et satrapae quaerebant occasionem ut invenirent Danieli ex latere regis: nullamque causam, et suspicionem reperire potuerunt, eo quod fidelis esset, et omnis culpa, et suspicio non inveniretur in eo.(vulgate) Dan 6:4 Derhalben trachteten die Fürsten und Landvögte darnach, wie sie eine Sache an Dan el fänden, die wider das Königreich wäre. Aber sie konnten keine Sache noch Übeltat finden; denn er war treu, daß man ihm keine Schuld noch Übeltat an ihm finden mochte.(dhs) Dan 6:4 So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:5 ============ Dan 6:5 Then these men said, "We will not find any ground of accusation against this Daniel unless we find it against him with regard to the law of his God."(nasb) Dan 6:5 ὅτε δὲ á¼Î²Î¿Ï…λεύσατο ὠβασιλεὺς καταστῆσαι τὸν Δανιηλ á¼Ï€á½¶ πάσης τῆς βασιλείας αá½Ï„οῦ τότε βουλὴν καὶ γνώμην á¼Î²Î¿Ï…λεύσαντο á¼Î½ ἑαυτοῖς οἱ δύο νεανίσκοι Ï€Ïὸς ἀλλήλους λέγοντες á¼Ï€Îµá½¶ οá½Î´ÎµÎ¼á½·Î±Î½ á¼Î¼Î±Ïτίαν οá½Î´á½² ἄγνοιαν ηὕÏισκον κατὰ τοῦ Δανιηλ πεÏá½¶ á¼§Ï‚ κατηγοÏήσουσιν αá½Ï„οῦ Ï€Ïὸς τὸν βασιλέα (lxx) Dan 6:5 Dixerunt ergo viri illi: Non inveniemus Danieli huic aliquam occasionem, nisi forte in lege Dei sui.(vulgate) Dan 6:5 Da sprachen die Männer: Wir werden keine Sache an Dan el finden außer seinem Gottesdienst.(dhs) Dan 6:5 Then these men said, "We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:6 ============ Dan 6:6 Then these commissioners and satraps came by agreement to the king and spoke to him as follows. "King Darius, live forever!(nasb) Dan 6:6 καὶ εἶπαν δεῦτε στήσωμεν á½Ïισμὸν καθ᾽ ἑαυτῶν ὅτι πᾶς ἄνθÏωπος οá½Îº ἀξιώσει ἀξίωμα καὶ οὠμὴ εὔξηται εá½Ï‡á½´Î½ ἀπὸ παντὸς θεοῦ ἕως ἡμεÏῶν Ï„Ïιάκοντα ἀλλ᾽ á¼¢ παÏá½° ΔαÏείου τοῦ βασιλέως εἰ δὲ μή ἀποθανεῖται ἵνα ἡττήσωσι τὸν Δανιηλ á¼Î½Î±Î½Ï„ίον τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ῥιφῇ εἰς τὸν λάκκον τῶν λεόντων ᾔδεισαν Î³á½°Ï á½…Ï„Î¹ Δανιηλ Ï€Ïοσεύχεται καὶ δεῖται κυÏίου τοῦ θεοῦ αá½Ï„οῦ Ï„Ïá½¶Ï‚ τῆς ἡμέÏας (lxx) Dan 6:6 Tunc principes et satrapae surripuerunt regi, et sic locuti sunt ei: Dari rex, in aeternum vive!(vulgate) Dan 6:6 Da kamen die Fürsten und Landvögte zuhauf vor den König und sprachen zu ihm also: Der König Darius lebe ewiglich!(dhs) Dan 6:6 So these governors and satraps thronged before the king, and said thus to him: "King Darius, live forever!(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:7 ============ Dan 6:7 All the commissioners of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the high officials and the governors have consulted together that the king should establish a statute and enforce an injunction that anyone who makes a petition to any god or man besides you, O king, for thirty days, shall be cast into the lions' den.(nasb) Dan 6:7 τότε Ï€Ïοσήλθοσαν οἱ ἄνθÏωποι á¼ÎºÎµá¿–νοι καὶ εἶπαν á¼Î½Î±Î½Ï„ίον τοῦ βασιλέως (lxx) Dan 6:7 consilium inierunt omnes principes regni tui, magistratus, et satrapae, senatores, et judices, ut decretum imperatorium exeat, et edictum: ut omnis, qui petierit aliquam petitionem a quocumque deo et homine usque ad triginta dies, nisi a te, rex, mittatur in lacum leonum.(vulgate) Dan 6:7 Es haben die Fürsten des Königreichs, die Herren, die Landvögte, die Räte und Hauptleute alle Gedacht, daß man einen königlichen Befehl soll ausgehen lassen und ein strenges Gebot stellen, daß, wer in dreißig Tagen etwas bitten wird von irgend einem Gott oder Menschen außer dir, König, allein, solle zu den Löwen in den Graben geworfen werden.(dhs) Dan 6:7 All the governors of the kingdom, the administrators and satraps, the counselors and advisors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever petitions any god or man for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:8 ============ Dan 6:8 Now, O king, establish the injunction and sign the document so that it may not be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which may not be revoked."(nasb) Dan 6:8 á½Ïισμὸν καὶ στάσιν á¼ÏƒÏ„ήσαμεν ὅτι πᾶς ἄνθÏωπος ὃς ἂν εὔξηται εá½Ï‡á½´Î½ á¼¢ ἀξιώσῃ ἀξίωμά τι παÏá½° παντὸς θεοῦ ἕως ἡμεÏῶν Ï„Ïιάκοντα ἀλλ᾽ á¼¢ παÏá½° ΔαÏείου τοῦ βασιλέως ῥιφήσεται εἰς τὸν λάκκον τῶν λεόντων (lxx) Dan 6:8 Nunc itaque rex, confirma sententiam, et scribe decretum: ut non immutetur quod statutum est a Medis et Persis, nec praevaricari cuiquam liceat.(vulgate) Dan 6:8 Darum, lieber König, sollst du solch Gebot bestätigen und dich unterschreiben, auf daß es nicht geändert werde, nach dem Rechte der Meder und Perser, welches niemand aufheben darf.(dhs) Dan 6:8 Now, O king, establish the decree and sign the writing, so that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:9 ============ Dan 6:9 Therefore King Darius signed the document, that is, the injunction.(nasb) Dan 6:9 καὶ ἠξίωσαν τὸν βασιλέα ἵνα στήσῃ τὸν á½Ïισμὸν καὶ μὴ ἀλλοιώσῃ αá½Ï„όν διότι ᾔδεισαν ὅτι Δανιηλ Ï€Ïοσεύχεται καὶ δεῖται Ï„Ïá½¶Ï‚ τῆς ἡμέÏας ἵνα ἡττηθῇ διὰ τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ῥιφῇ εἰς τὸν λάκκον τῶν λεόντων (lxx) Dan 6:9 Porro rex Darius proposuit edictum, et statuit.(vulgate) Dan 6:9 Also unterschrieb sich der König Darius.(dhs) Dan 6:9 Therefore King Darius signed the written decree.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:10 ============ Dan 6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the document was signed, he entered his house (now in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and giving thanks before his God, as he had been doing previously.(nasb) Dan 6:10 καὶ οὕτως ὠβασιλεὺς ΔαÏεῖος ἔστησε καὶ á¼Îºá½»Ïωσεν (lxx) Dan 6:10 Quod cum Daniel comperisset, id est, constitutam legem, ingressus est domum suam: et fenestris apertis in coenaculo suo contra Jerusalem tribus temporibus in die flectebat genua sua, et adorabat, confitebaturque coram Deo suo sicut et ante facere consueverat.(vulgate) Dan 6:10 Als nun Dan el erfuhr, daß solch Gebot unterschrieben wäre, ging er hinein in sein Haus (er hatte aber an seinem Söller offene Fenster gegen Jerusalem); und er fiel des Tages dreimal auf seine Kniee, betete, lobte und dankte seinem Gott, wie er denn bisher zu tun pflegte.(dhs) Dan 6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:11 ============ Dan 6:11 Then these men came by agreement and found Daniel making petition and supplication before his God.(nasb) Dan 6:11 á¼Ï€Î¹Î³Î½Î¿á½ºÏ‚ δὲ Δανιηλ τὸν á½Ïισμόν ὃν ἔστησε κατ᾽ αá½Ï„οῦ θυÏίδας ἤνοιξεν á¼Î½ τῷ ὑπεÏῴῳ αá½Ï„οῦ κατέναντι ΙεÏουσαλημ καὶ ἔπιπτεν á¼Ï€á½¶ Ï€Ïόσωπον αá½Ï„οῦ Ï„Ïá½¶Ï‚ τῆς ἡμέÏας καθὼς á¼Ï€Î¿á½·ÎµÎ¹ ἔμπÏοσθεν καὶ á¼Î´Îµá¿–το (lxx) Dan 6:11 Viri ergo illi curiosius inquirentes invenerunt Danielem orantem, et obsecrantem Deum suum.(vulgate) Dan 6:11 Da kamen diese Männer zuhauf und fanden Dan el beten und flehen vor seinem Gott.(dhs) Dan 6:11 Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:12 ============ Dan 6:12 Then they approached and spoke before the king about the king's injunction, "Did you not sign an injunction that any man who makes a petition to any god or man besides you, O king, for thirty days, is to be cast into the lions' den?" The king replied, "The statement is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which may not be revoked."(nasb) Dan 6:12 καὶ αá½Ï„οὶ á¼Ï„á½µÏησαν τὸν Δανιηλ καὶ κατελάβοσαν αá½Ï„ὸν εá½Ï‡á½¹Î¼ÎµÎ½Î¿Î½ Ï„Ïá½¶Ï‚ τῆς ἡμέÏας καθ᾽ ἑκάστην ἡμέÏαν (lxx) Dan 6:12 Et accedentes locuti sunt regi super edicto: Rex, numquid non constituisti ut omnis homo qui rogaret quemquam de diis et hominibus usque ad dies triginta, nisi te, rex, mitteretur in lacum leonum? Ad quos respondens rex, ait: Verus est sermo juxta decretum Medorum atque Persarum, quod praevaricari non licet.(vulgate) Dan 6:12 Und traten hinzu und redeten mit dem König von dem königlichen Gebot: Herr König, hast du nicht ein Gebot unterschrieben, daß, wer in dreißig Tagen etwas bitten würde von irgend einem Gott oder Menschen außer dir, König, allein, solle zu den Löwen in den Graben geworfen werden? Der König antwortete und sprach: Es ist wahr, und das Recht der Meder und Perser soll niemand aufheben.(dhs) Dan 6:12 And they went before the king, and spoke concerning the king's decree: "Have you not signed a decree that every man who petitions any god or man within thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?" The king answered and said, "The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:13 ============ Dan 6:13 Then they answered and spoke before the king, "Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or to the injunction which you signed, but keeps making his petition three times a day."(nasb) Dan 6:13 τότε οὗτοι οἱ ἄνθÏωποι á¼Î½á½³Ï„υχον τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ εἶπαν ΔαÏεῖε βασιλεῦ οá½Ï‡ á½Ïισμὸν ὡÏίσω ἵνα πᾶς ἄνθÏωπος μὴ εὔξηται εá½Ï‡á½´Î½ μηδὲ ἀξιώσῃ ἀξίωμα παÏá½° παντὸς θεοῦ ἕως ἡμεÏῶν Ï„Ïιάκοντα ἀλλὰ παÏá½° σοῦ βασιλεῦ εἰ δὲ μή ῥιφήσεται εἰς τὸν λάκκον τῶν λεόντων ἀποκÏιθεὶς δὲ ὠβασιλεὺς εἶπεν αá½Ï„οῖς ἀκÏιβὴς ὠλόγος καὶ μενεῖ á½ á½Ïισμός Dan 6:13 Tunc respondentes dixerunt coram rege: Daniel de filiis captivitatis Juda, non curavit de lege tua, et de edicto quod constituisti: sed tribus temporibus per diem orat obsecratione sua.(vulgate) Dan 6:13 Sie antworteten und sprachen vor dem König: Dan el, der Gefangenen aus Juda einer, der achtet weder dich noch dein Gebot, das du verzeichnet hast; denn er betet des Tages dreimal.(dhs) Dan 6:13 So they answered and said before the king, "That Daniel, who is one of the captives from Judah, does not show due regard for you, O king, or for the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:14 ============ Dan 6:14 Then, as soon as the king heard this statement, he was deeply distressed and set his mind on delivering Daniel; and even until sunset he kept exerting himself to rescue him.(nasb) Dan 6:14 καὶ εἶπαν ἰδοὺ εὕÏομεν Δανιηλ τὸν φίλον σου εá½Ï‡á½¹Î¼ÎµÎ½Î¿Î½ καὶ δεόμενον τοῦ Ï€Ïοσώπου τοῦ θεοῦ αá½Ï„οῦ Ï„Ïá½¶Ï‚ τῆς ἡμέÏας (lxx) Dan 6:14 Quod verbum cum audisset rex, satis contristatus est: et pro Daniele posuit cor ut liberaret eum, et usque ad occasum solis laborabat ut erueret illum.(vulgate) Dan 6:14 Da der König solches hörte, ward er sehr betrübt und tat großen Fleiß, daß er Dan el erlöste, und mühte sich bis die Sonne unterging, daß er ihn errettete.(dhs) Dan 6:14 And the king, when he heard these words, was greatly displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:15 ============ Dan 6:15 Then these men came by agreement to the king and said to the king, "Recognize, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians that no injunction or statute which the king establishes may be changed."(nasb) Dan 6:15 καὶ λυπούμενος ὠβασιλεὺς εἶπεν ῥιφῆναι τὸν Δανιηλ εἰς τὸν λάκκον τῶν λεόντων κατὰ τὸν á½Ïισμόν ὃν ἔστησε κατ᾽ αá½Ï„οῦ τότε ὠβασιλεὺς σφόδÏα á¼Î»Ï…πήθη á¼Ï€á½¶ τῷ Δανιηλ καὶ á¼Î²Î¿á½µÎ¸ÎµÎ¹ τοῦ á¼Î¾ÎµÎ»á½³ÏƒÎ¸Î±Î¹ αá½Ï„ὸν ἕως δυσμῶν ἡλίου ἀπὸ τῶν χειÏῶν τῶν σατÏαπῶν (lxx) Dan 6:15 Viri autem illi, intelligentes regem, dixerunt ei: Scito, rex, quia lex Medorum atque Persarum est ut omne decretum, quod constituerit rex, non liceat immutari.(vulgate) Dan 6:15 Aber die Männer kamen zuhauf zu dem König und sprachen zu ihm: Du weißt, Herr König, daß der Meder und Perser Recht ist, daß alle Gebote und Befehle, so der König beschlossen hat, sollen unverändert bleiben.(dhs) Dan 6:15 Then these men approached the king, and said to the king, "Know, O king, that it is the law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:16 ============ Dan 6:16 Then the king gave orders, and Daniel was brought in and cast into the lions' den. The king spoke and said to Daniel, "Your God whom you constantly serve will Himself deliver you."(nasb) Dan 6:16 καὶ οá½Îº ἠδύνατο á¼Î¾ÎµÎ»á½³ÏƒÎ¸Î±Î¹ αá½Ï„ὸν ἀπ᾽ αá½Ï„ῶν (lxx) Dan 6:16 Tunc rex praecepit, et adduxerunt Danielem, et miserunt eum in lacum leonum. Dixitque rex Danieli: Deus tuus, quem colis semper, ipse liberabit te.(vulgate) Dan 6:16 Da befahl der König, daß man Dan el herbrächte; und sie warfen ihn zu den Löwen in den Graben. Der König aber sprach zu Dan el: Dein Gott, dem du ohne Unterlaß dienst, der helfe dir!(dhs) Dan 6:16 So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, "Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:17 ============ Dan 6:17 A stone was brought and laid over the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signet rings of his nobles, so that nothing would be changed in regard to Daniel.(nasb) Dan 6:17 ἀναβοήσας δὲ ΔαÏεῖος ὠβασιλεὺς εἶπε τῷ Δανιηλ ὠθεός σου á¾§ σὺ λατÏεύεις á¼Î½Î´ÎµÎ»ÎµÏ‡á¿¶Ï‚ Ï„Ïá½¶Ï‚ τῆς ἡμέÏας αá½Ï„ὸς á¼Î¾ÎµÎ»Îµá¿–ταί σε á¼Îº χειÏὸς τῶν λεόντων ἕως Ï€Ïωὶ θάÏÏει (lxx) Dan 6:17 Allatusque est lapis unus, et positus est super os laci: quem obsignavit rex annulo suo, et annulo optimatum suorum, ne quid fieret contra Danielem.(vulgate) Dan 6:17 Und sie brachten einen Stein, den legten sie vor die Tür am Graben; den versiegelte der König mit seinem eigenen Ring und mit dem Ring der Gewaltigen, auf daß nichts anderes mit Dan el geschähe.(dhs) Dan 6:17 Then a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signets of his lords, that the purpose concerning Daniel might not be changed.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:18 ============ Dan 6:18 Then the king went off to his palace and spent the night fasting, and no entertainment was brought before him; and his sleep fled from him.(nasb) Dan 6:18 τότε Δανιηλ á¼ÏÏίφη εἰς τὸν λάκκον τῶν λεόντων καὶ ἠνέχθη λίθος καὶ á¼Ï„έθη εἰς τὸ στόμα τοῦ λάκκου καὶ á¼ÏƒÏ†Ïαγίσατο ὠβασιλεὺς á¼Î½ τῷ δακτυλίῳ ἑαυτοῦ καὶ á¼Î½ τοῖς δακτυλίοις τῶν μεγιστάνων αá½Ï„οῦ ὅπως μὴ ἀπ᾽ αá½Ï„ῶν á¼€Ïθῇ ὠΔανιηλ á¼¢ ὠβασιλεὺς αá½Ï„ὸν ἀνασπάσῃ á¼Îº τοῦ λάκκου (lxx) Dan 6:18 Et abiit rex in domum suam, et dormivit incoenatus, cibique non sunt allati coram eo, insuper et somnus recessit ab eo.(vulgate) Dan 6:18 Und der König ging weg in seine Burg und blieb ungegessen und ließ auch kein Essen vor sich bringen, konnte auch nicht schlafen.(dhs) Dan 6:18 Now the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting; and no musicians were brought before him. The king spoke and said to Daniel, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you constantly serve, been able to deliver you from the lions?"(nasb) Dan 6:20 καὶ ὠβασιλεὺς ΔαÏεῖος ὤÏθÏισε Ï€Ïωὶ καὶ παÏέλαβε μεθ᾽ ἑαυτοῦ τοὺς σατÏάπας καὶ ποÏευθεὶς ἔστη á¼Ï€á½¶ τοῦ στόματος τοῦ λάκκου τῶν λεόντων (lxx) Dan 6:20 appropinquansque lacui, Danielem voce lacrimabili inclamavit, et affatus est eum: Daniel serve Dei viventis, Deus tuus, cui tu servis semper, putasne valuit te liberare a leonibus?(vulgate) Dan 6:20 Und als er zum Graben kam rief er Dan el mit kläglicher Stimme. Und der König sprach zu Dan el: Dan el, du Knecht des lebendigen Gottes, hat dich auch dein Gott, dem du ohne Unterlaß dienst, können vor den Löwen erlösen?(dhs) Dan 6:20 And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?"(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:21 ============ Dan 6:21 Then Daniel spoke to the king. "O king, live forever!(nasb) Dan 6:21 τότε ὠβασιλεὺς á¼Îºá½±Î»ÎµÏƒÎµ τὸν Δανιηλ φωνῇ μεγάλῃ μετὰ κλαυθμοῦ λέγων ὦ Δανιηλ εἰ ἄÏα ζῇς καὶ ὠθεός σου á¾§ λατÏεύεις á¼Î½Î´ÎµÎ»ÎµÏ‡á¿¶Ï‚ σέσωκέ σε ἀπὸ τῶν λεόντων καὶ οá½Îº ἠχÏείωκάν σε (lxx) Dan 6:21 Et Daniel regi respondens ait: Rex, in aeternum vive!(vulgate) Dan 6:21 Dan el aber redete mit dem König: Der König lebe ewiglich!(dhs) Dan 6:21 Then Daniel said to the king, "O king, live forever!(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:22 ============ Dan 6:22 My God sent His angel and shut the lions' mouths and they have not harmed me, inasmuch as I was found innocent before Him; and also toward you, O king, I have committed no crime."(nasb) Dan 6:22 τότε Δανιηλ á¼Ï€á½µÎºÎ¿Ï…σε φωνῇ μεγάλῃ καὶ εἶπεν βασιλεῦ ἔτι εἰμὶ ζῶν (lxx) Dan 6:22 Deus meus misit angelum suum, et conclusit ora leonum, et non nocuerunt mihi: quia coram eo justitia inventa est in me: sed et coram te, rex, delictum non feci.(vulgate) Dan 6:22 Mein Gott hat seinen Engel gesandt, der den Löwen den Rachen zugehalten hat, daß sie mir kein Leid getan haben; denn vor ihm bin ich unschuldig erfunden; so habe ich auch wider dich, Herr König, nichts getan.(dhs) Dan 6:22 My God sent His angel and shut the lions' mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:23 ============ Dan 6:23 Then the king was very pleased and gave orders for Daniel to be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den and no injury whatever was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.(nasb) Dan 6:23 καὶ σέσωκέ με ὠθεὸς ἀπὸ τῶν λεόντων καθότι δικαιοσύνη á¼Î½ á¼Î¼Î¿á½¶ εὑÏέθη á¼Î½Î±Î½Ï„ίον αá½Ï„οῦ καὶ á¼Î½Î±Î½Ï„ίον δὲ σοῦ βασιλεῦ οὔτε ἄγνοια οὔτε á¼Î¼Î±Ïτία εὑÏέθη á¼Î½ á¼Î¼Î¿á½· σὺ δὲ ἤκουσας ἀνθÏώπων πλανώντων βασιλεῖς καὶ á¼”ÏÏιψάς με εἰς τὸν λάκκον τῶν λεόντων εἰς ἀπώλειαν (lxx) Dan 6:23 Tunc vehementer rex gavisus est super eo, et Danielem praecepit educi de lacu: eductusque est Daniel de lacu, et nulla laesio inventa est in eo, quia credidit Deo suo.(vulgate) Dan 6:23 Da ward der König sehr froh und hieß Dan el aus dem Graben ziehen. Und sie zogen Dan el aus dem Graben, und man spürte keinen Schaden an ihm; denn er hatte seinem Gott vertraut.(dhs) Dan 6:23 Then the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:24 ============ Dan 6:24 The king then gave orders, and they brought those men who had maliciously accused Daniel, and they cast them, their children and their wives into the lions' den; and they had not reached the bottom of the den before the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.(nasb) Dan 6:24 τότε συνήχθησαν πᾶσαι αἱ δυνάμεις καὶ εἶδον τὸν Δανιηλ ὡς οὠπαÏηνώχλησαν αá½Ï„á¿· οἱ λέοντες (lxx) Dan 6:24 Jubente autem rege, adducti sunt viri illi, qui accusaverant Danielem: et in lacum leonum missi sunt, ipsi, et filii, et uxores eorum: et non pervenerunt usque ad pavimentum laci, donec arriperent eos leones, et omnia ossa eorum comminuerunt.(vulgate) Dan 6:24 Da hieß er die Männer, so Dan el verklagt hatten, herbringen und zu den Löwen in den Graben werfen samt ihren Weibern und Kindern. Und ehe sie auf den Boden hinabkamen, ergriffen sie die Löwen und zermalmten alle ihre Gebeine.(dhs) Dan 6:24 And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions--them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:25 ============ Dan 6:25 Then Darius the king wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language who were living in all the land: "May your peace abound!(nasb) Dan 6:25 τότε οἱ δύο ἄνθÏωποι á¼ÎºÎµá¿–νοι οἱ καταμαÏτυÏήσαντες τοῦ Δανιηλ αá½Ï„οὶ καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες αá½Ï„ῶν καὶ τὰ τέκνα αá½Ï„ῶν á¼ÏÏίφησαν τοῖς λέουσι καὶ οἱ λέοντες ἀπέκτειναν αá½Ï„οὺς καὶ ἔθλασαν τὰ ὀστᾶ αá½Ï„ῶν (lxx) Dan 6:25 Tunc Darius rex scripsit universis populis, tribubus, et linguis habitantibus in universa terra: Pax vobis multiplicetur.(vulgate) Dan 6:25 Da ließ der König Darius schreiben allen Völkern, Leuten und Zungen auf der ganzen Erde: "Viel Friede zuvor!(dhs) Dan 6:25 Then King Darius wrote: To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 6:26 ============ Dan 6:26 I make a decree that in all the dominion of my kingdom men are to fear and tremble before the God of Daniel; For He is the living God and enduring forever, And His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed, And His dominion will be forever.(nasb) Dan 6:26 τότε ΔαÏεῖος ἔγÏαψε πᾶσι τοῖς ἔθνεσι καὶ χώÏαις καὶ γλώσσαις τοῖς οἰκοῦσιν á¼Î½ πάσῃ τῇ γῇ αá½Ï„οῦ λέγων (lxx) Dan 6:26 A me constitutum est decretum, ut in universo imperio et regno meo, tremiscant et paveant Deum Danielis: ipse est enim Deus vivens, et aeternus in saecula, et regnum ejus non dissipabitur, et potestas ejus usque in aeternum.(vulgate) Dan 6:26 Das ist mein Befehl, daß man in der ganzen Herrschaft meines Königreiches den Gott Dan els fürchten und scheuen soll. Denn er ist der lebendige Gott, der ewiglich bleibt, und sein Königreich ist unvergänglich, und seine Herrschaft hat kein Ende.(dhs) Dan 6:26 I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel.
