Et tu sedens judicas me secundum legem, et contra legem jubes me percuti?(vulgate) Act 23:3 Da sprach Paulus zu ihm: Gott wird dich schlagen, du getünchte Wand! Et surgentes quidam pharisæorum, pugnabant, dicentes: Nihil mali invenimus in homine isto: quid si spiritus locutus est ei, aut angelus?(vulgate) Act 23:9 Es ward aber ein großes Geschrei; und die Schriftgelehrten von der Pharisäer Teil standen auf, stritten und sprachen: Wir finden nichts Arges an diesem Menschen; hat aber ein Geist oder ein Engel mit ihm geredet, so können wir mit Gott nicht streiten.(dhs) Act 23:9 Then there arose a loud outcry. And the scribes of the Pharisees' party arose and protested, saying, "We find no evil in this man; but if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him, let us not fight against God."(nkjv) ======= Acts 23:10 ============ Act 23:10 And as a great dissension was developing, the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them and ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force, and bring him into the barracks.(nasb) Act 23:10 πολλῆς δὲ γινομÎνης στάσεως φοβηθεὶς ὠχιλίαÏχος μὴ διασπασθῇ ὠπαῦλος ὑπ᾽ αá½Ï„ῶν á¼ÎºÎλευσεν τὸ στÏάτευμα καταβὰν á¼Ïπάσαι αá½Ï„ὸν á¼Îº μÎσου αá½Ï„ῶν, ἄγειν τε εἰς τὴν παÏεμβολήν.(Nestle-Aland) Act 23:10 Et cum magna dissensio facta esset, timens tribunus ne discerperetur Paulus ab ipsis, jussit milites descendere, et rapere eum de medio eorum, ac deducere eum in castra.~(vulgate) Act 23:10 Da aber der Aufruhr groß ward, besorgte sich der oberste Hauptmann, sie möchten Paulus zerreißen, und hieß das Kriegsvolk hinabgehen und ihn von ihnen reißen und in das Lager führen.(dhs) Act 23:10 Now when there arose a great dissension, the commander, fearing lest Paul might be pulled to pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him by force from among them, and bring him into the barracks.(nkjv) ======= Acts 23:11 ============ Act 23:11 But on the night immediately following, the Lord stood at his side and said, "Take courage; for as you have solemnly witnessed to My cause at Jerusalem, so you must witness at Rome also."(nasb) Act 23:11 τῇ δὲ á¼Ï€Î¹Î¿Ïσῃ νυκτὶ á¼Ï€Î¹ÏƒÏ„á½°Ï‚ αá½Ï„á¿¶ ὠκÏÏιος εἶπεν, θάÏσει, ὡς Î³á½°Ï Î´Î¹ÎµÎ¼Î±ÏÏ„ÏÏω τὰ πεÏá½¶ á¼Î¼Î¿á¿¦ εἰς ἰεÏουσαλὴμ οὕτω σε δεῖ καὶ εἰς ῥώμην μαÏτυÏῆσαι.(Nestle-Aland) Act 23:11 Sequenti autem nocte assistens ei Dominus, ait: Constans esto: sicut enim testificatus es de me in Jerusalem, sic te oportet et Romæ testificari.(vulgate) Act 23:11 Des andern Tages aber in der Nacht stand der HERR bei ihm und sprach: Sei getrost, Paulus! He has something to say to you."(nkjv) ======= Acts 23:19 ============ Act 23:19 The commander took him by the hand and stepping aside, began to inquire of him privately, "What is it that you have to report to me?"(nasb) Act 23:19 á¼Ï€Î¹Î»Î±Î²ÏŒÎ¼ÎµÎ½Î¿Ï‚ δὲ τῆς χειÏὸς αá½Ï„οῦ ὠχιλίαÏχος καὶ ἀναχωÏήσας κατ᾽ ἰδίαν á¼Ï€Ï…νθάνετο, τί á¼ÏƒÏ„ιν ὃ ἔχεις ἀπαγγεῖλαί μοι;(Nestle-Aland) Act 23:19 Apprehendens autem tribunus manum illius, secessit cum eo seorsum, et interrogavit illum: Quid est quod habes indicare mihi?(vulgate) Act 23:19 Da nahm ihn der Oberhauptmann bei der Hand und wich an einen besonderen Ort und fragte ihn: Was ist's, das du mir zu sagen hast?(dhs) Act 23:19 Then the commander took him by the hand, went aside and asked privately, "What is it that you have to tell me?(nkjv) ======= Acts 23:20 ============ Act 23:20 And he said, "The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down tomorrow to the Council, as though they were going to inquire somewhat more thoroughly about him.(nasb) Act 23:20 εἶπεν δὲ ὅτι οἱ ἰουδαῖοι συνÎθεντο τοῦ á¼Ïωτῆσαί σε ὅπως αὔÏιον τὸν παῦλον καταγάγῃς εἰς τὸ συνÎδÏιον ὡς μÎλλον τι ἀκÏιβÎστεÏον πυνθάνεσθαι πεÏá½¶ αá½Ï„οῦ.(Nestle-Aland) Act 23:20 Ille autem dixit: Judæis convenit rogare te ut crastina die producas Paulum in concilium, quasi aliquid certius inquisituri sint de illo:(vulgate) Act 23:20 Er aber sprach: Die Juden sind eins geworden, dich zu bitten, daß du morgen Paulus vor den Hohen Rat bringen lassest, als wollten sie ihn besser verhören.(dhs) Act 23:20 And he said, "The Jews have agreed to ask that you bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though they were going to inquire more fully about him.(nkjv) ======= Acts 23:21 ============ Act 23:21 "So do not listen to them, for more than forty of them are lying in wait for him who have bound themselves under a curse not to eat or drink until they slay him; and now they are ready and waiting for the promise from you."(nasb) Act 23:21 σὺ οὗν μὴ πεισθῇς αá½Ï„οῖς· á¼Î½ÎµÎ´ÏεÏουσιν Î³á½°Ï Î±á½Ï„ὸν á¼Î¾ αá½Ï„ῶν ἄνδÏες πλείους τεσσεÏάκοντα, οἵτινες ἀνεθεμάτισαν ἑαυτοὺς μήτε φαγεῖν μήτε πιεῖν ἕως οὖ ἀνÎλωσιν αá½Ï„όν, καὶ νῦν εἰσιν ἕτοιμοι Ï€Ïοσδεχόμενοι τὴν ἀπὸ σοῦ á¼Ï€Î±Î³Î³ÎµÎ»Î¯Î±Î½.(Nestle-Aland) Act 23:21 tu vero ne credideris illis: insidiantur enim ei ex eis viri amplius quam quadraginta, qui se devoverunt non manducare, neque bibere donec interficiant eum: et nunc parati sunt, exspectantes promissum tuum.(vulgate) Act 23:21 Du aber traue ihnen nicht; denn es lauern auf ihn mehr als vierzig Männer unter ihnen, die haben sich verschworen, weder zu essen noch zu trinken, bis sie Paulus töten; und sind jetzt bereit und warten auf deine Verheißung.(dhs) Act 23:21 But do not yield to them, for more than forty of them lie in wait for him, men who have bound themselves by an oath that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him;
