From: john yee haw... just found out the '87 Cherokee Laredo I have has a Dana 44!   :) I took the '99 WJ to Randy's Ring and Pinion since the warranty isn't in effect on it and when I took the guy over so I could pick up my other jeep he looked and said, hey, does that have a Dana 44? I said, I don't know, haven't even looked... he looked, and said, yep. :) :) I may just keep this little blue jeep... it's doing quite nicely... might be nice to have as a spare... john ************************************* JimBlair, Seattle,WA '84 J10, '86 Comanche http://www.geocities.com/eaglemania2002/ http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=13998 ************************************** ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 22 Jun 2001 08:18:45 CDT From: Dan Black Subject: fsj: fuel maps Does anybody have fuel maps for the GWag/360 using a Holley Di system? I have the Commander 950 -- I don't know if the 4Di ones would work or not, but it sounds like they might. We started installing the C950 a couple nights ago. Actually have only gotten as far as removing a bunch of the wires and hoses (and labeling them) so we can take off the old manifold/carb. And schedules don't work out to work on it this weekend. But sounds like we'll be hitting it hard after work each night next week. (The guy who's helping me, who is actually the "expert", wants to use it to go pick up a different engine for his car in Missouri (next state south). Works fine for me, because it's the perfect opportunity to tweak settings along the way.) - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I live in my own little world. Loud clunk when shifting to reverse, and sometimes on upshifts. suspect pinion slop. How do I find a good shop to reset this(shim?), and what should I expect to pay ? 2. Drivers door is sagging on the hinges. Closes ok, but I can lift it maybe a half inch. How should I attack this, just shim the mounts, or are there bushings ? Thanks for the suggestions. - - Landon ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 22 Jun 2001 14:14:10 -0500 From: "R.J. Within the past year my family has started getting into both camping and biking (mostly trails). I would like to get a hitch mount bike rack for our 1999 Ford Windstar (doesn't have a hitch yet) but I'm not familiar with everything outthere. I need a rack that will hold 4 bikes. I would like to have a rack that would allow me to access the rear hatch without taking off the bikes (if there is such a thing at a reasonable price). From what I've been able to gather so far I'm guessing that between a Class 2 hitch (seems to be what is usually required) and a rack I'm going to be spending around $300-$400. If I'm going to be spending that much I want to make sure I've got a decent rack. Can anyone give me some ideas and any experience they've had with hitch mount racks? Thanks!
