I already have a case of synthetic tranny oil to go in. From: Pat Hines                 More substantial mileage figures usually require the 5-30W oil which in a synthetic will protect at the same level longer that a 10-40W dino oil.                 One of the first things I do when I acquire a new vehicle is to switch to synthetic lubricants throughout. HOWEVER, be forewarned, that when you open the DS panel, the wires for the E Mirrors are delicately positioned on the back of a POS plastic doohickey which has been glued together with good ol AMC spit. If you pull too hard, the wires controlling the mirrors will pop out and then the mirrors will be the next project after your next project - You'll know what I mean when you know what I mean. I installed a two inch body lift today along with urethane mounts. Hot ,dirty work, we had a heat wave today in the Bay area. I finished the actual mounts, and will do the lengthening of the transmission shifter rod and the transfer case linkage this week. Interesting how the Jeep radiator isa so easily lowered so that the fan is again centered on it and the transmission cooler hoses aren't hit by the fan which they would be unless either the radiator is lowered or some elbows are added into the cooler line. Those extra holes on the radiator mounting bracket are very thoughtful by whoever had then placed there originally. Everything else seems to be OK two inches higher. I guess I'll have to add some of those "lift lips" to keep mud from being slung all over the engine though since vthe inner fender isn't deep enough now. I'll see if I can fabricate some out of some thick rubber sheeting. Got a bunch of questions & suchlike, let's see if I can get them organized here. 1: I'd like to have a Tripometer in the instrument cluster of my 88GW, what clusters will fit? Will anything else fit in there or is it GW only? 2: Anyone got any maroon interior parts around? I need one of the snap in vents for the underdash AC in Maroon red. Also would like to get my hands on a center cap for the stock 88 mags. There's probably other piddly bits I need, but I can't think of them right now. 3: The passenger side of my Jeep has a rubber strap w/ slots in it hanging below the front Seat Belt, what is that thing? I have no idea what the purpose is. 4: The hood springs aren't wanting to push the hood up, they just stay stuck down. What can I do to make the springs slide on the shaft correctly? 5: Finally I got a parts GW in that I'd be willing to sell/swap things off of. It's an 85 & pretty rough, but I'll have some good/usable stuff on it. Blue w/ tan interior. Thanks Miah Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo! It had a 360 cbi and a turbo 400 with a quarterback transfer case. you mean Quadratrac. :) In 1992 I could not get parts anymore, so I decided to rebuild this great truck. It has a rebuilt 360 engine with an Edelbrook intake; a RV cam; a Webber 4 barrel carburator (approximately 320 HP); a rebuilt Turbo 400; rear end is a limited slip; front end is a GM-Ford axle with lockouts and disk brakes; transfercase converted to a 4x4 select. It has 2 tanks, approximately 38 gal. with mechanical switchover. It has been plastic blasted and acid primed for starting finish paint. 3 little rust spots only. All parts are included with the truck including a sunroof, sliding rear window, cargo light with inside switch, carpet. Green and 2 gal. of black-dark green AWL-GRIP paint ($250 per gallon). Big combo tires with spoke rims. Approximately 1600 miles on rebuilt engine. This will make a great show truck and you can drive it home for $3875.00 Thank you for your interest in this truck and adding it to your web site. I am looking for a few additional stock parts it, especially: - - Original wheel covers/trim rings as shown in most of the advertising in the late 60's - - Full chrome window surrounds (complete set) - - Original plate that goes in place of locking style hubs (to allow removal of the locking hubs) - - Passenger's side mirror (or a matching pair) - - "Deluxe" horn ring - - Glove box clock Anyone parting out an older Wagoneer with this stuff?
