No damage to the xfer case from doing this right? Can I put the xfer case in 4x4 mode and spin the rears with the front shaft removed so that I can determine if the squealing is really in the xfer case? or would putting it in 4x4 mode like that damage something? I'll start populating it now with something... got anything? so, should it be: wagoneers.com/ouray2002 wagoneers.com/fsj-fest-2002 wagoneers.com/Ouray-FSJ-2002 wagoneers.com/FSJ/Ouray2002 wagoneers.com/FSJ/ouray2002 or ??? (has to start out with wagoneers.com...;) and it is case sensitive... if we did it off the existing FSJ directory it would be easy for folks to find, if it's off of my root webdirectory you'd have to know the name... running it from the "open" FSJ directory makes sense... so maybe wagoneers.com/FSJ/ouray2002 is the best... ???? pls advise... later, john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Jun 2002 16:03:59 -0700 From: john Subject: RE: [Re: [fsj: Re: Virtual Ouray]] At 03:53 PM 6/11/2002 -0700, Jim Sterling wrote: > wagoneers.com/ouray2002 > >Jim Sterling looks like it should be: wagoneers.com/FSJ/Ouray2002 or wagoneers.com/FSJ/ouray2002 the FSJ is important, otherwise it'll be hard to find Ouray as the root filesystem is "closed". john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Jun 2002 01:08:55 -0700 From: "Jim B" Subject: fsj: Re: Worn levers on maual 3speed A: Back on topic, I have a T18-A that will cure the 3 speed problem! (Tag says T18-1b? First gear is definitely 6:1 but the Dana 20 transfercase alas is only 2:1, not the 3.15:1 I was told it was) It shifts well (the D20 needs adjustment, but shifts okay) but the pilot bearing was bad. The clutch disc is 1/2 worn (I'd change it) but the flywheel is in good shape (I'll sell the clutch assembly separate). This tranny has a LONG adapter and bellhousing, but seems to be in good shape. First $250 takes it. _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #1664 **************************
