Still need to find a buyer for my "very nice" :) 85 Grand Wagoneer. Its a great truck and runs very well. Please check it out and pass the word around. I am in Denver. Looking to get 2700 for it...best offer. http://cjseven.jeeps.org/wagoneer.htm There's a detailed description via a link on the site and a bunch of pics. I have the back windows that go in it, but not the windshield. The tail gate glass was not harmed, and it rolls down. The engine has approx. 40,000 miles on it. The transmission is good too, but kicks in late. I'm asking $750 for the whole Jeep. It is located in Owensboro, KY. I can send pictures if anyone is interested. The '79 Golden Eagle and the '87 XJ have a strong likelihood of making it off road... SuperDawg is being setup as a daily driver, nice, comfortable but fully off-road capable... but unlikely to see abuse. ;) john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Oct 2002 12:29:28 -0800 From: john Subject: fsj: Fwd: high tech time keeping system replacement clock for your Jeep? ;) http://www.yugop.com/ver3/stuff/03/fla.html someone has too much time on their hands... rofl... john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://wagoneers.com/AMSOIL/Filter_INFORMATION/air_filter-1.jpg http://wagoneers.com/AMSOIL/Filter_INFORMATION/air_filter-2.jpg SJ Jeeps: 360/401: TS-23 258: TS-12 retail $21.50 XJ Jeeps: 4.0L/2.5L('87 and up): TS-29 retail $29.95 WJ Jeeps: 4.7L: TS-104 retail $47.50 DieselBenz: typical S1118 or S1680 retail $32.50 or $39.85 http://wagoneers.com/AMSOIL/ order 1-800-956-5695 cust# 283461 Snohomish, WA, where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... - ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Oct 2002 18:17:58 -0800 From: john Subject: fsj: another idea... ...alright, it's already been determined I'm out of control, and that's quite alright, I'll accept that fact... but with at least 25 minutes commuting to work each way I've got way too much time to think about stuff like this... ...this being the idea of dropping a Mercedes Benz 3.0L Turbo Diesel into this '87 XJ type Jeep Cherokee. It has a high mileage (238,000) 4.0L/Aisin Warner trans in it. (It's doing fine, but as soon as SuperDawg is back on his feet the XJ will either be sold or turned into a project... ;) I'm pretty sure the Jeep 242/4.0L engine is longer then the Mercedes 5 cylinder, so that shouldn't be an issue. I don't think the Aisin Warner trans will work with the MBZ Diesel (and no, I'm not interested in using a Nissan Diesel Jim. ;). That means I'll probably have to run a divorced transfer case behind the Mercedes Automatic. Not a big deal, and probably allow me to drop in whatever xfr case I want, just have to make an output / input shaft to mate up... maybe... Not sure if I'll have enough room underneath to hook it all up... Anybody have the dimensions of the 5 cylinder 3.0L TD and the MBz trans? This won't happen until after SuperDawg is done and I can find a good TD/trans... Usually if you find a cheap used Mercedes Diesel it's motor is worse off then the body/interior... :( Just another crazy idea... hey, where would we be if people like me didn't come up with them anyway? We'd probably be sitting on the porch by candlelight picking corn out of our teeth and griping about the high cost of horseshoes... I won't even bring up the idea of the 6.5L Turbo Diesel for the Golden Eagle at this point... shoot, still haven't gotten the 4.0L into SuperDawg finished yet... :) Hey, if you have a bunch of parts and lack ideas, just send the list and I'll dream something up for ya! rofl... and it might even include Pinto taillights... ;) john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 31 Oct 2002 18:17:33 -0800 From: john Subject: fsj: adventures in snohomish... my son decided that he doesn't want to keep the '62 Galaxy now, wants to sell it and put the money into his Cherokee... rofl... I guess he has an issue with the gas mileage of a built 460. :) So, we're going to paint it all one color, basically a good primer, ready for minor work before a good paint job, fix up a few things and then put it on ebay. He's into it about $3,500 at this point. Saturday I'll be dragging home the '75 J10 and pulling the rear axle, cutting off the front part of the frame & axle, having the Golden Eagle brought over and finishing up a few touches on my '87 XJ Cherokee. (I just had the front end aligned and it's doing great... only thing left to do on it is fix the driver's seat and wire up the fog lights! :) Hope the weather holds out through the weekend so we can get these projects done in "dry" weather... :) I ordered the 4.09 gear set for SuperDawg's front axle, got prices on ARB and such... very pricey... going to see if Ox Locker comes out with their electric locker setup for Dana 44s. Anyone interested in a nice straight '62 Galaxy 500 2dr with a built 460 and a new C6 transmission... let me know... :) http://www.wagoneers.com/FOTOS/CARS/1962-Galaxy/ fwiw, the fender has already been sanded and primed/sealed... this is how it came to us... john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #1782 **************************
