Black tilting bucket seats. Driver's side is salvageable (seam is coming apart) but passenger's side needs covering. $50 pair with bottom 1/2 of center console. Rear seat that looked fantastic but dirty $50. Rear side opening windows (it's a Wide Track 2dr) $15 each. Class 3 (I think) receiver Trailer hitch (welded on but I can cut it loose) $50 obo. Inner fenderwells for the front $20 apiece. Wiring harness appears to be good (was a running rig that was cannibalized due to rear rot) open to offers. Doors w/o inner panels (I haven't checked the bottoms yet, but they appear solid on the outside) $35 each or $50 the pair. My '73's Motorcraft 4300 carb and cast intake (with EGR) is for sale for $50 obo (needs a choke cover as it was converted to manual choke) The AC stuff from the '83 WT will be coming out to make it simpler. (it has the funky brown and striped cloth insert bucket seats which are coming out) Windshield is still good, but I may save that for my own rig. Roof is being cut off to make a Jimmy style pop-top for the '83 Cherokee. Brake booster and master are going on my J4000 when I do the Chev 1 ton front axle swap to get disc brakes. (the '83 WT will be getting a Ford van Dana 61 rear with 3.54 and we'll need the same for the front with 8 lug brakes. Preferrably Chev as it's RH drop, same as the Ford E350 van axle) The main part of the grill is okay (needs minor straightening under the headlight rings due to PO) but the headlight rings are going on my J4000. I'll probably cut a chunk of the front floor to patch mine as it's rusted in different spots. 1 tail light got busted by my hitch because we were in a hurry and my helper turned the wheel left when I hollered turn right. Other stuff for sale by the PO: 4350 Motorcraft carb, cast intake and phenolic spacer. $75 obo Immaculate Cherokee tailgate he bought from Olympic 4x4 for like $400! Ouch! Not sure what he's asking for it. Also needed: Early TH400 core for my NP208 conversion. I don't need the output shaft so if someone has a rare D20 one they are keeping for that reason, I'll pull the shaft and send that back. (preferably closeby Seattle!) GMC frame mounted brackets for the front of the rear leaf springs that are tucked close to the frame (so I can finish my 7" rear spring lift on my J10). From: "Jim Blair" Subject: parting '77 Cherokee WT I picked up a red Cherokee WT (already partially dismantled) for parts for my son's '83. It has black interior that's not too bad. (door panels may end up on Black Jack and the rest need cleaning) Rear flares are rotted out and so is the rear crossbar and tailgate. Front fenders are gone as well as motor/trans/tcase. We are grabbing the springs for my son's rig (which is getting a Mopar 360/727 only cuz I already own it. I still need a core Jeep 727 output shaft) Still for sale: Axles D44 front and rear 3.07 ratio $400 the pair obo. (they will be already out and ready to go this week sometime) Inner fenderwells (V8) wiring harness? (it was a driver, but I didn't drive it) steering box $50 steering column (black non-tilt off a 4 speed) $40 tail lights (maybe. My son has first dibbs. He may chop the back of his shorter as it's going to be an offroad buggy) My mind is blank on anything else at the moment. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 25 Apr 2004 11:23:34 -0700 From: "Jim Blair" Subject: fsj: '83 Cherokee and '78 J10 being parted fast in Portland, OR area I have begun to part out a 1978 J10 Jeep and a 1983 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. Drop me an email if you need parts off either vehicle. Motors are out of both vehicles, tranny etc remain in the Cherokee. Act fast as by the end of next week they transform into Chinese scrap metal. red_rambler_1966-at-hotmail.com (posted 04/21/04) red_rambler_1966-at-hotmail.com http://pdxforsale.com/?ad=27680&enlarge=20365#photos ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 25 Apr 2004 20:16:10 -0400 From: "Neal Hoover" Subject: fsj: more briefing... so, i'm planning to swap the brake booster & MC from my donor '84 J-10 and put it on my '76. i think it was john who said that the prop valve needed to be swapped along with that also. ok. so i'm in the process of doing that today and noticed that the electrical connection is a little different. is it ok to just cut the end off of the lead and make something that will work? also, the '84 has a protrusion at the bottom of it with a little rubber "stopper" in the end of it that the '76 didn't have. sup with that? lastly, what is the function of the little brass-looking pin pointing out of the front end of the prop valve assy? nothing was connected to it on either assy. is it an emergency pressure relief valve or something? on a completely different note, i have the tranny (TH-400) and 'case (QT) out of it. i hit them with some degreaser and pressure washed 'em till they are all sparkly. what kind of servicing should i do to them whilst they are out? i was planning on pulling the tranny pan and changing the filter & fluid. AFAIK, nothing else should have to be serviced unless i'm having shifting problems, right? (which i'm not). oh, what's the best way to get the dipstick tube to seat back into its bore? (it got rather "bumped" when i was pulling the cab off of the frame). AFA the 'case goes, i was planning on splitting it apart and inspecting the chain, maybe installing a new one, and putting fresh QT fluid back into it. it also has the low range housing on it. anything else i should service whilst i'm there? are there separate fluid reservoirs for the main part of the 'case and the low range unit? thanks again, all!!!
