The A/C blows ultra cold, and it doesn't use any oil except what comes out of the leaking valve cover gasket. The transmission is in need of a valve body rebuild and possibly some shift solenoids. It performs pretty much perfectly 1/5th of the time, the other times it doesn't want to down shift and you start from red-lights in 2nd or sometimes 3rd. It's white, body in fair/good shape. Interior is dirty, in-laws never cleaned it since they got it. It's near Austin, Texas, and I'm looking to unload it to the first person with $1000 cash, firm. It's not a bad truck, I just don't need it anymore and need the cash for the other vehicles I do need. Plenty left in her if you'll get the tranny fixed. Thanks! Thanks again to all who dropped in with some ideas. Problem found and resolved easily after I actually had time to look at it and NOT be in a hurrry, under pressure due to travel upcoming and tradeshow issues... The odd #8 plug is interesting to note... but the reason she would not start and probably why the timing seemed off was a loose connection on the red wire to the coil. I changed to the AMC Ingnition upgrade using the Furd EFI parts quite some time ago. It works great. Really jumps now at the key. And probably burns a lot cleaner. But I moved the coil over to the left front fender behind the coolant/wwwasher containers as someone on the list had told me that these thin film coils don't like heat. In that case, on top of an AMC 360 is NOT the place to mount it. So I had made jumpers/extensions to get the two wires it needs. But in the process of moving things around, replacing plugs, wires, etc. I must have pulled it a bit too hard and it was disconnected, but touching...sometimes... new jumper, 2" longer, and all is well. Got back on Thursday, took Friday off, and it was running by mid-afternoon. So when someone complains about my Jeeps and all the problems I seem to have with them, I kindly remind them to come see me when THEIR brandX ride has 245K showing on the odometer and is still the daily driver. Then I tell them it's not the engineering that's the problem. It's the engineer. lol ...just can't wait to get those lift parts now... let's see what else I can disable... LOL...
