I paid $2.92 tonight and that was at one of the cheaper gas stations. E 8012 S, for $39.95. Autozone is also now selling genuine AC fuel pumps, but the price is about twice what I paid. I tested my new pump with diesel fuel, and found that it draws 1.5 amps while pumping. The result: 0 to 60 in just 11.1 seconds...... We don.t need no stinking turbo! Are there any additional 6.2L NA performance mods in my future? What else would I do to my happy little naturally aspirated 6.2L, if I were in the mood? Perhaps the exhaust manifolds would get some attention. Matching the ports to the heads would have to help. I think a friend has a copy of this... will check. :) http://www.thedieselpage.com/62book.htm That this site talks about the driveline I'm putting in my J10 is encouraging. :) john >-->- Landon >--> >-->-----Original Message----- >-->From: owner-fsj-at-digest.net [mailto:owner-fsj-at-digest.net] On Behalf Of john >-->Sent: Tuesday, October 04, 2005 11:30 PM >-->To: diesel-benz list; full size jeep list; xj-list; WJ-Grand-at-yahoogroups.com >-->Cc: Jeepbuilder-at-comcast.net >-->Subject: fsj: OT question on intake manifolds >--> >--> >-->Got a crazy thought... ok, so I have several.... >--> >-->anyway, wondering if there are any aftermarket (read lightweight aluminum) >-->intake manifolds that would bolt up to my 6.2L Diesel. Voting YES for i-912 is a no-brainer because they have no plans to deal with congestion, no specific projects, but we do have the honor of the highest fuel taxes in the country... gotta love the party that's in power here... not sure if it's communist or socialist... ;) I'm thinking that 912 will pass... the initiative had 420,000 signatures within 32 days! http://www.Yes912.com I actually saw a "no on 912" sticker, the guy bought the lie that it would help congestion... the 9.5 cent per gallon increase over what was nearly the highest fuel tax, is aimed at REPLACING a few items in the Seattle area... the 520 floating bridge and the Alaska Way Viaduct.. and then not for years... http://www.Yes912.com john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #2518 **************************
