Figure I'll ask again for contacts along the way just in case... his xj has 270,000 miles on it... no windows... ;) he's going to freeze his backside off. :) So, if you're along I-5 email me off list with a contact number just in case something goes wrong so he's got at least someone to look out for him if he gets in trouble. He should be fine, but it's always nice to have friends along the way just in case. email me at dieseljohn at comcast.net thanx guys. in other news, it's been snowing in snohomish... went and looked at a cheap xj, a '90 limited for $950, theft recovery... it was more work than I wanted to deal with... not sure why I'm looking at more jeeps, even looking at limited WJs... found a nice one, but would need to sell our '99 laredo with the 4.0L. I'm sitting in our '99 WJ Laredo right now, down in edmonds while my wife is shopping... (verizon wireless card in my work laptop... works great!) Also waiting to hear back on a '47 desoto... what is it with cheap cars and jeeps that draw me to them? ;) It's like they're magnetic or something... I was even looking at a Ford F250 on line... Diesel of course... but it's too big... I guess I'm really wanting my J10 to be done... in the meantime... ;) still thinking about a mercedes Diesel into an Xj... the '92 I had is still a viable candidate for that, my friend is only after the driveline... the temptations abound... john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Dec 2005 17:42:30 -0700 From: "Tacoma White" Subject: fsj: FSJ stuff that must go, Pt.1 ok, cleanup is starting. Still can't get to the boxes of switches and electrical stuff, but here's the start of it. NOTE: XJ STUFF INCLUDED in this first list. 79 Ford Bronco front coils-- 2 sets, one set is thicker/longer than the other, lift spring? ZJ steering column-- I can't use this as it turns out. Missing cover on the column, otherwise in good shape. XJ front coils, stockers XJ upper and lower control arms, stockers set of stock XJ shocks, ugly but they work ok I think FSJ 'razor' grille: if you know what this is, you know FSJ chrome windshield trim FSJ Cherokee/Wagoneer rear seats: one plain tan, one 2-tone. Need a good cleaning but otherwise in good shape. FSJ Cherokee rear side windows, for 2dr, no vents, just plain windows FSJ tailgate window, has crusty channel siliconed onto it. Out of a rusty-ass PA truck, that's why. FSJ wide track fenders, off a 78 Cherokee Chief. Decent shape. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 03 Dec 2005 18:31:36 -0800 From: "Jim Blair" Subject: fsj: Time to cut the firewood! http://www.disgruntledpunk.com/chain.htm build your truck right the first time! ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Dec 2005 18:52:10 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: fsj: forget the firewood, change the tire... hey, you missed this one: http://www.disgruntledpunk.com/oldschool.htm (far more useful... really works too...) john On Sat, 3 Dec 2005, Jim Blair wrote: > -->http://www.disgruntledpunk.com/chain.htm > --> > --> > -->build your truck right the first time! > --> > --> ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 03 Dec 2005 19:23:40 -0800 From: "Jim Blair" Subject: fsj: 2 wags in eastern WA for parts (not mine!) http://www.snort4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27100 A friend of mine has two Jeep Wagoneers stored at my place for parts. He's decided not to fix either one up. One is a 1974 or '76 Wagoneer 4x4, 6-lug axles, AMC 360 that ran but had high miles, TH400. There is a title for it. It has sat for several years now. The 2nd one is a 1980 or '81, 6-lug axles, AMC V8... 360 I think. Automatic. Lost title. This one ran but also has sat for a few years. It had a straight body except for the drivers door. I'm listing these for him since he wants to part them out or sell them whole for parts, and I want to clean up my property. $500 for both OBO or make offers on parts. e-mail me for more details at allantown-at-hotmail.com. Located in eastern Washington. build your truck right the first time! ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 04 Dec 2005 00:55:49 CST From: Dan Black Subject: fsj: Commander commercial http://dan.black.org/temp/Commander.mov Commercial for the Commander. 1.1MB or so.
