I know that the FSJ will ride better... have a nicer feel... and of course there is superdawg... still in pieces, a replacement engine sitting in my carport for over a year now... things move slowly... too slowly... spring 2001... was to be ready by labor day... 2001... but then again I can't afford to just go out and buy something nice... arghhh... any point to this email? I can't think of any... :) delete. delete. delete. ;) (ok, so it's friday and I really don't feel like working on a windows 2003 server... it's waiting for me across the room... ;) down two jeeps in snohomish... ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Jul 2007 16:35:22 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: fsj: local driver wanted... :) ok, might need some help this weekend... or in a few weeks... someone gave me an '89 Grand Wagoneer... supposedly it runs... but I'm going to retrieve it with a tow bar in the back of the Jeep... or maybe I'll run over with a car trailer and not live on the edge. ;) it's over on whidbey island... 11 miles to the ferry... my house is about 12 miles from the ferry on this side... (Mukilteo Ferry) http://wagoneers.com/tmp/89_Grand_Wag.jpg anyone up to a relatively short, and hopefully mild adventure? airfare, accomodations and meals not included... :) they'll send more pictures later, if it's presentable I'll drag it home very soon, if not will wait until my in-laws go back to South Dakota first week of August... (they're coming for a week...) Don't want to stress my lovely bride with a YAP. (yet another project) The gal was overwhelmed by the response, but became very concerned because people were expecting more than what it might be. I told the gal that it's gone. It won't come back to her house and will leave mine running or in pieces, either way, it won't be her problem ever again. :) I'll probably fix it and find it a good home and use the profits to either improve Omega, buy an XJ or get the aux fuel setup for my '91 300D... we'll see... if it has issues I'll have spare parts for Omega in a weekend... :) where can I put a spare frame and axles? my storage in Centralia is full up with three or four of my other jeeps... ;) This was a daily driver... but now it's running on one less cylinder, suspect it's got a hole in a piston... we'll see... I don't care... Maybe I'll put a 4.0L into it for grins... maybe not... ;) john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Jul 2007 18:21:01 -0700 From: "Jim Blair" Subject: RE: fsj: local driver wanted... :) There was a guy posting up in BC (on the http://bb.bc4x4.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=43 ) looking for a good frame (his is rotten) Jim Blair, Kirkland, WA '87 Comanche, '83 Jeep J10, '84 Jeep J10, '73 J4000 (RIP)

Heading to my cabin directly after work tomorrow. Tonight would've been good to go, but a bit late now (I get up at 6 for work) I have to cut up the J4000 with a torch (cut off the box after removing the gas and gas tank, undo the wiring and lift the cab onto the scrap hauling trailer. Might put the '85 XJ 2dr body on the frame for kicks) I have to put the AW4 into my '83 J10 and get it running ASAP as we are getting ready to move and my J4000 is toasted. I still have the '86 Comanche to finish assembling unless I can find someone to take it as is for $800 (I have a new flywheel coming so the EFI can operate again and a 75,000 mile 2.5 and 5 speed with tcase waiting to go in) Need to sell my excess stuff to meet the upcoming bills. At least I won't have to worry about parking space anymore once I move! Hot tub will be nice too! Jim Blair, Kirkland, WA '87 Comanche, '83 Jeep J10, '84 Jeep J10, '73 J4000 (RIP)
