Neal..

My window lifter was absolutely corroded. I believe previous owner('s)
broke it.
It became way brittle. I bought those windows wiipers so hopefully that
will make my replacement lifter last 10 more years

jim, before you take the dolly back, come and get the maverick!!! please!

I'll call my neighbor and tell them it's finally got a good home.

I doubt it's that far gone, it's been sitting there for 13 years, the hood
isn't that rusted, the guy should have hit it with PBblaster or something
before trying to open it... the door jambs look fine to me:

http://wagoneers.com/tmp/Maverick/ (scroll down for detailed pix)

of course you're welcome to use my tow bar, it has a real bumper it'll
be fine...

please, please take it... my sister-in-law flies in Friday evening, would
love to have it gone by then... :)

thanx again on the GW... suspect a fuse: dome lights don't work and
no power (apparently to the sunroof switch).

refresh my feeble memory... #5 on an amc boat anchor is where? (if
I hadn't started my mechanical life experiences with a ford I wouldn't
be having these troubles now... ;)

no idea on name yet...

waiting for Omega to get the 6.2L Diesel... this '89 has some
excellent parts, body is nearly perfect... if Omega is a flop
I may build a 4.0L GW out of this one... we'll see...

not big into "II or Jr.'s"... :)

was thinking about naming that 2001 XJ I was looking at Omega Jr. (last year
and all. ;)

With in-laws coming out tomorrow and a week of vacation, then starting
classes again (grad school managerial accounting this time, oh boy, happy
joy joy... ;) not sure when I'll have time to work on it... need to
fix the sunroof, then thinking about getting it detailed... lots of
little things... might be two or three weeks before I can even reattach
the driveshaft to run it up to the detailer... would like it looking really
nice and don't have the time to do it... since it was free spending
money on something I normally do doesn't seem like a waste... will
add value to it. Even if the engine is toast it's worth putting
together...

need to figure out how to manually close the sunroof, or do a little
electrical troubleshooting tonight... so much to do, so little time. :)

Subject: fsj: couple tech questions

couple of quick questions:

- - 124: where is the connection for the fans on the '91 124 300Ds?
both bruce and I are suffering in this heat... it hit 70 today
and when we're stuck in traffic (most of the time) the temp gauge goes up
a ways, and a/c doesn't seem to blow as cold... thinking of
a manual override... where's the connector? It's not like we're
overheating, we're used to the gauge being at 80C. ;) Don't like
seeing that needle up at 100, Bruce's goes up higher from what he
	described...

- - '96 XJ 4.0L: anyone know what it costs to have new rings, bearings
and gaskets installed in a 4.0L? Thinking of using my
'96 4.0L in this '89 Grand Wagoneer... not sure yet.

- - '89 Grand Wagoneer... - sunroof manual override... what tool?
torx, phillips or allen??? what size? need to close it. :)

So, the fleet sits at:

'99 WJ Grand Cherokee... pressed into primary service as a tour bus this week.

'91 300D, gets a week off. no problems, other than not liking this "hot" weather. ;)

'89 Grand Wagoneer - waiting for tabs, title... then detail/cleanup, sunroof,
exhaust, engine, tires/rims, interior carpet... Not sure which
engine to go with... the existing 5.9L if it can be fixed, otherwise
a 304 from jim, or rebuild my 4.0 and use the AW4 setup...

'75 J10 trailer - battery charged, ready for the next load.

in Centralia:
'91 Grand Wagoneer - sitting... curtis has been dealing with family issues
and hasn't touched Omega for three weeks or so... not sure how much longer.
'83 J10 stepside - still in pieces, since April 2001... have a replacement
engine up here for it, with a nice Weber Carb, will keep the 4.2/T-5/208
'67 J100 Panel - in Centralia, it's fate uncertain, most likely will stay there.
