I injured my leg in the army, can't have a manual... :( the 2.5L Diesel would be the easiest to drop into an XJ, but the KJs 2.8 comes with the Automatic... we'll see how my 6.2L Diesel project pans out... it solves a lot more problems than an XJ would... will have greater towing capacity and more interior room with the Grand Wagoneer... john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- On Mon, 8 Oct 2007, Stephen Rigley wrote: # *cough* # http://www.equicar.co.uk/breakers/breaking.php?mmcode=J008&submit2=Go+-+%3E # # as if you need encouragement ;-) # Steve # # On 10/5/07, john wrote: # > # > ref: # http://tinyurl.com/yr3y7q # > # > yes, a friend of mine showed me this yesterday... # > in fact we were discussing the options of getting one here... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Oct 2007 12:23:41 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: fsj: Re: [db] In case John needs a new project and the other problem is they've ruined the jeep... they've lowered the roof so even a runt like me smacks his head getting in, further limiting visibility, but that's not the greatest flaw, the suspension... they went to an independent front suspension to improve road manners, which essentially kills durability and off-road capability. What's first thing the toyota and chevy guys do to their trucks? Solid-axle conversions... why? because a solid axle is way better for off-road use. Haven't even gotten into the issues with the rear suspension on the WK... and what's up with the "K" designator, it's supposed to be a "J". Cluelessness reigns supreme... the only "real" jeep left is being ruined as well... ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- On Mon, 8 Oct 2007, Alec Cordova wrote: # Latest episode of Motorweek has new Grand Cherokee with the same CRD # engine used in the ML/RL/GL.
