I am still trying to find another engine. What i find funny is how i have been using the junkyard locators and i find 401's but usually too late and alittle out dated info(by a few weeks), but i had about three to choose from but none of them were over $1500 delivered, but a phone call to texas and two people wanted $2000 (not delivered)for virgin non running cores... capitalism at its best haha... I have also been trying to find a decent 360 but i have also moved too late on those because i was more concerned trying to get a 401. I will eventually find something. I just have to wait on Craigslist and my local weekly Auto trader. I am getting tired of having to drive around with a gallon of oil incase i drive anywhere over 50 miles away lol... The 620x is the am/fm/short wave cassette deck with remote... it's seven years old... planned for SuperDawg... I've decided to sell both of those and buy the newer am/fm/sw with cd/mp3 so I don't have to run as much wiring, and really have no use for cassettes any more... Figure I'd offer it up to the lists first... I doubt there are any warranties left despite the fact they are new... they were tested though... all checked out fine. I don't even remember what I paid for these things... thought? offers? also have an intake manifold with injectors and computer/wiring harness from a '96 XJ that I will sell... If I can't get a decent price for this unit I could put it in my benz, the 10 cd changer wouldn't be hard to setup in there, then I could use the mp3 deck in the GW. john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 Mar 2008 20:31:05 -0800 From: Jim Blair Subject: fsj: FSJ spotting in Monroe, Wa On my way home from my cabin I saw what appeared to be an '80s Jtruck with a LOAD of lights (looked like a Christmas tree!) pulling out of the Chevron in Monroe and headed towards Gold Bar. Anyone here? _________________________________________________________________ Shed those extra pounds with MSN and The Biggest Loser! http://biggestloser.msn.com/ ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Mar 2008 08:00:09 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: fsj: fsj status the '89 GW is gone... we did take a stab at setting the idle and timing... started up quicker, idled better, sounded better... not sure if I got the timing exactly on or not, but it was much closer. the '91 GW finally got attention, and turns out we had the wrong injectors... I should have looked at the part numbers... oh well... replaced the vacuum pump and I found the rancho shocks. I think my leg is getting well enough I can try to do the front springs myself. we'll see... used the '75 j10 trailer to get 2yrds of compost, worked well except for the fact that the bedliner prevents the stuff from coming out. :) have tried putting other stuff on the bottom to help, and it doesn't... odd... maybe I should pretreat the bed with Pam Cooking oil. ;) john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Mar 2008 12:49:20 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: fsj: cd changer in a GW? Thinking about the stereo setup... on the '91 GW what is behind the passenger side dash? is it open space? thinking about putting a CD changer over there since my cover is shot anyway and have a carpet over it... could just lift the carpet, pop in the cartridges and drop the carpet back over it... trying to decide if I want to have Short Wave capability or not... the only downside to keeping what I have is it's a cassette deck and doesn't do mp3, but I have a sansmedia mp3 player and the radio adapter from my old ipod, so I could play mp3s that way, cds in the changer and cassettes... the question is where to put the cd changer... john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Mar 2008 13:06:44 -0800 From: Jim Blair Subject: RE: fsj: cd changer in a GW? that's where the AC lives Jim Blair, Lynnwood, WA '87 Comanche, '83 Jeep J10, '84 Jeep J10 > Date: Mon, 3 Mar 2008 12:49:20 -0800 > From: john-at-wagoneers.com > To: fsj-at-digest.net > Subject: fsj: cd changer in a GW? > > Thinking about the stereo setup... on the '91 GW what is behind > the passenger side dash? is it open space? > > thinking about putting a CD changer over there since my cover is > shot anyway and have a carpet over it... could just lift the carpet, > pop in the cartridges and drop the carpet back over it... > > trying to decide if I want to have Short Wave capability or not... > > the only downside to keeping what I have is it's a cassette deck > and doesn't do mp3, but I have a sansmedia mp3 player and the > radio adapter from my old ipod, so I could play mp3s that way, > cds in the changer and cassettes... > > the question is where to put the cd changer... > > john > ----- > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold > http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- _________________________________________________________________ Need to know the score, the latest news, or you need your Hotmail.-get your "fix". http://www.msnmobilefix.com/Default.aspx ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Mar 2008 13:45:17 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: RE: fsj: cd changer in a GW? yeah, but how far up does it live? on the older Wagoneers this area was quite open... the a/c used to live down low... john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- On Mon, 3 Mar 2008, Jim Blair wrote: # that's where the AC lives # # Jim Blair, Lynnwood, WA '87 Comanche, '83 Jeep J10, '84 Jeep J10 # # # > Date: Mon, 3 Mar 2008 12:49:20 -0800 # > From: john-at-wagoneers.com # > To: fsj-at-digest.net # > Subject: fsj: cd changer in a GW? # > # > Thinking about the stereo setup... on the '91 GW what is behind # > the passenger side dash? is it open space? # > # > thinking about putting a CD changer over there since my cover is # > shot anyway and have a carpet over it... could just lift the carpet, # > pop in the cartridges and drop the carpet back over it... # > # > trying to decide if I want to have Short Wave capability or not... # > # > the only downside to keeping what I have is it's a cassette deck # > and doesn't do mp3, but I have a sansmedia mp3 player and the # > radio adapter from my old ipod, so I could play mp3s that way, # > cds in the changer and cassettes... # > # > the question is where to put the cd changer... # > # > john # > ----- # > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- # > Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold # > http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** # > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- # # _________________________________________________________________ # Need to know the score, the latest news, or you need your Hotmail.-get your "fix". # http://www.msnmobilefix.com/Default.aspx ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Mar 2008 14:12:32 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: fsj: alternate fuels I wonder if they've filed their patents yet?
