My Ac took a dive a few months ago and i figure Sure i can replace the clutch and bearing but home long with the rest last? So are there alternative for types, brand, etc ? or should i get an exact replacement? the crazy part is is i am replacing the a/c compressor just to mount it back so i a closer place to mount my coil to solve an ignition problem. I removed the compressor a few months ago when it took a dive.. My 360 was going to be pulled shortly anyway.. I put the 401 in and never put the nonworking compressor back on.. So since i want to mount my coil on the compressor instead of 33 inches away on the fenderwall, i figure its time to fix the a/c lol (polish logic) Oh I installed FEDORA 9 and it automatically recognized my RAID setup, So i will now have something new to play with. That said, I wouldn't be overly surprised if the sending units were the same thread pitch, and the jeep sender could be threaded into the chevy port. Naturally, it would be a better idea to take the two senders to the hardware store and verify the pitch before buggering one up on the engine... As far as range, the black truck's gauge is a 0-80 psi gauge, same as the gasser version, it seems to idle hot above where 25-30 would be, and it seems to be on the other side of 40 but not quite 60 when going down the road. It sure beats the one in the F-250, which is basically an idiot light disguised as a gauge.
