I'm also going to go with the 4" exhaust setup along with the GLE chip and have the BFG Long Trail T/As with raised black letters ordered... going to have them siped as a precaution for improved wet traction. All this 6.5 stuff may eventually find its way into superdawg. :) anyway, here's some of the info on the GLE economy chip, supposed to get 2 mpg more than stock, I know there's a few guys with 6.5s on the lists: from: http://www.heathdiesel.com/P/HDP1638/ Our Low Price: Exchange: $499.00 - Core: $300.00 The exciting new GLE Series, Economy program is rapidly gaining popularity with 6.5er's who wish to reduce consumption of today's higher cost fuel. The GLE has been created to produce the greatest possible efficiency of combustion for maximum utilization of fuel for best economy with excellent drivability. While originally designed to deliver peak fuel economy, the GLE happens also to run quite well, with crisp throttle responce and very good power. It operates virtually smoke-free, another sign of efficiency. The GLE slso features transmission control programming designed to most fully utilize its unique torque output characteristics. You will appreciate GLE's revised Glow-Plug timing program, too. GLE activates the glow plugs for a longer time before the start up and it cycles them for a while after the start for quicker starts and lower emissions during warm up. The mountains of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and California were the proving ground for the new GLE all playing host to both, empty running and heavy-towing sessions designed to challenge this new programming. We had to know it would do the job for you and there is no better way than to put it to work. The GLE Series excels in delivering fuel economy and it works very well for towing heavy and uphill. This exciting new engine control programming is based on highly refined and totally unique fuel and start of injection timing curves. Engineered as a total-performance engine control program, the GLE delivers a crisp throttle response and exceptional tip-in power along with great fuel mileage. And operation is virtually smoke-free! The new GLE Series features an automatic transmission shift-schedule tailored to control engine speed within its peak torque output range for optimum towing performance. The engine and transmission are directed to function as a team to get you moving and keep you rolling --- even in the most difficult conditions. The GLE is first and foremost the best economy program, however it is very well suited for the heaviest towing or hauling. With it, you can run hard, even up the steepest grades while maintaining an exhaust gas temperature that is safely below GM's prescribed limit. You will be amazed at the stark lack of exhaust smoke and those who are following you will be happy, too! At the same time when fuel costs are increasing, you will enjoy the best possible towing fuel-economy. While the GLE is specifically designed to optimize fuel economy, it happens to deliver an excellent towing performance.
