My Wagoneer is way worse than that and i am in the process of a bunch of body repairs. Some years back I took a welding class at the community college and that is absolutely a worthwhile endeavor. For body work (and I like doing body work) I like to run .023" wire in my MIG machine. The body panels on a J-truck are for the most part two dimensional which makes them reasonably easy to duplicate. I like to butt weld and on sheet metal I never run much more than 3/4 of an inch of weld at a time to avoid warpage.
