I bought one HEI from another company to have a back up and it did not fit my wagoneer. A lot of other elements are also a concern such as the free play of the bushing at the bottom of the shaft and the clearances between the distributor shaft and the cam. I have pict here: http://picasaweb.google.com/jeepmr/FSJ#5417965373429721586 but cannot find the photos for the tower and vacuum canistor issue. Remember the reason for the season is Jesus! Ready to provide popcorn enjoyment over the next week or so... Considering a couple possible trades for the '86 cj-10a: - 2002 Subaru legacy with a new engine... eh... not exciting, not likely... - a few cash + gun offers but not as interesting as the Luv setup, - 1981 Chevy Luv 4x4 Diesel with SVO conversion and cash - considering strongly. has 100k on engine. the '89 Cherokee Limited title is in... have had a few low cash offers... holding out to get a better price, may fix the remaining issues... we'll see. It's a very nice rig... $175 for the windshield and few other tweaks and it'll be really nice... runs out great after the TPS was replaced. the 2002 Grand Cherokee with the blown 4.0 is slowly coming apart, 28k replacement 4.0 from a 2004 rubicon is sitting next to it... weather is mild, should have time to finish! Will be a nice rig, leather seats... clean... need some more tools to make it come apart though... need some wobbly sockets. ;) the '91 300D needs a glow plug or two and a new alarm system... should probably check the oil too... ;) the '99 WJ is doing fine, but at some point should get some attention and be driven... love that 4.7L V8, until the fuel gauge swings the wrong way. ;) the '83 J10 stepside is still waiting for the SD33T/TF727/NP208 to be installed... very, very slow progress(??), waiting, waiting, waiting... been apart since 2001... oh, it's so close... I can feel it... I believe, I believe... let's see... did I cover all the vehicles??? am also considering the crazy idea of buying a '69 Gladiator with a 6.2L Diesel and 4 speed... but if I get the Luv 4x4 in trade I'll resist that urge... still hoping that my '83 J10 stepside will be done and I won't have to make do with an odd assortment of Diesels. ;) Sure, I know, that won't stop me from dragging home other projects... it's in my blood... :) enjoy... john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #3496 **************************
