So I think it would have the NP208, yeah good, but maybe not the T18, awww, booo But I have the T18 from my current truck, yeah good! Would the T18 fit in this '82 truck with the NP208 ? NP208 has a better low range ratio, right? Gotta be better than the D20 have, which I can't even shift into lo. - - Landon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 4 Dec 2010 20:41:48 -0800 (PST) From: JeepNut Subject: Re: fsj: Re: winches Thanks Troy. I personally like getting tech info from anyone who has hands on experience. ;-) I really, really like the way Warn supports the customer. It's getting too rare and I like to and DO support companies that do business that way, most of the time, but man $1200 is a small fortune to me... I'm looking for a used one but used Warn/Ramsey or even MileMarker 9-10k winches don't seem to turn up around here on Craigslist. I'm gonna keep lookin. It bugs me nuts that the politico/economic situation is the way that it is but that's gonna turn in to a rant so let me just say thanks for your feedback on this. I'm comparing a lot of things and trying to figure out how to justify the cost differences. I don't go wheeling often, definitely not as often as i would LIKE to go, but I'm not always bright. lol I'll get sick of waiting for the one or two only other guys I know around the area that wheel and I'll go by myself. Then I get stuck. Last time I went we had a hoarde of like 9 or 10 ATVS come to our rescue. I think we were on the ATV trails. Wasn't seeing any other trucks back there. Anyway they threw down 4 straps and they all gassed it in different directions going forward and that was all the umph I needed to get up out of the ravine I was in. The 4 10-13yr olds that were with me were totally thrilled with the whole thing and a good time was had by all. :-) But I'd have liked to have had a winch... I was just getting started with the hi-lift when they came along and I was SOOOOOO glad... 2 minutes into THAT exercise and I was exhausted. But it was a big hole and a heavy truck for that kind of nonsense. ;-) JeepNut - ---------------------------------------------------------- Registered Linux user #287453 - --- On Fri, 12/3/10, Troy Phagan wrote: > From: Troy Phagan > Subject: fsj: Re: winches > To: fsj-at-digest.net > Date: Friday, December 3, 2010, 5:08 PM > RE: Winches: > > I am a 'Red Letter Dealer' for Warn winches.
