I really appreciate the feedback. When you've got 7 or 8 designs in work it's hard to decide. :) I didn't want to deviate too far from the original, but I wanted the URL to be visible. So now what I need to work on is a page of links to FSJ resources so other lists can use the sticker as well. That way it's not just specific to my site but for all FSJ's. My site is currently non-commercial, it's my own. I've had FSJ content on my site since the very beginning... 94 or 95, when I started the FSJ list with a guy in Fargo, ND. Super Ken was the third guy in, then Michael Baxter and so on... Dennis (doc) was the last guy in, and he's the one that came up with the IFSJA site. I asked him to take care of the FSJ list on ORC when I was editing both the full size pages and cherokee america there. When I quit orc I got blocked from both lists on ORC so I started the lists anew on digest.net. I also moved my FSJ content back to my own server. The FSJ logo was my creation and may be used if it has a link to wagoneers.com. It is not permitted on commercial sites like ORC. It is my design, idea and the origin of it came from the snowstorm of 96/97 that produced the story "escape from clearview" and the "18wheeler" story... because of those stories Old Blue and I appeared in a Chrysler video used at the Camp Jeep Meeting and WJ launch in 99. I've got a copy of the video and need to put it on my website... once I figure out how to make a copy that isn't as large as the internet. ;) john - ----------------------------------------------------- john-at-wagoneers.com http://www.wagoneers.com ...don't leave life without Jesus, please! Good thing he's not already in the middle of the swap! There is a TH400 sleeve adapter in the back of the '79 (and older) 360 crankshaft that HAS to come out to hook up the '80 and newer trans to the older motor. Aside from that, the flexplate and emissions, the engines are basically identical. You only need to worry about engine mounts between 6 and 8 cyl AMCs (mostly moving the frame mounts and different driveshafts, wiring etc). You could even button in any '72 or newer AMC V8 engine, but if it's from a car, the oil pan may need swapping as well. Heck, you could go full hog, and bolt in a 6 cyl 4.0L HO from a '91 or newer Jeep Cherokee with EFI for gas mileage, but it's a bit of work (mostly wiring). I'm in the process of weeding out all that stuff right now on Blackie. Thanks Andy You'll have to change the flex plate. The 79 has a TH400, the 84 has a Torqueflite 727. Otherwise it's pretty much a slam dunk. I think that the starters are even on the same side.
