My hat's off to you, Terry. That sort of thoughtfulness is much too

that we need more of over here in the States, not more government

Yeah, terry's generosity would extend to assisting all of us on jeep projects and providing cool jeep parts at a bargain (as in those bull bars) if air fare and size restrictions weren't a limiting factor. :). He's offered several times to help with superdawg, but we can't find a duffle bag large enough to hold him, or any volunteers to carry said duffle bag on a flight, and we haven't found anyone with extra space in a shipping container to send superdawg there and back either.

But all things considered, putting the two of us into the same shop would result in some pretty wild frankenstein projects considering terry's skills and abilities...

Btw, there are a few tech article how-to's that terry has provided. He is one of those perfectionist, do it right types.

Chuck,

the axles will directly bolt up from a GW,
however you'll want to flip the rear springs to move the axle back a bit, and
I'd
use the GW springs in the rear. ;)

the cj-10a is a GW frame, so steering box and mounts are about the same...
for
wiring I used cj-5 and cj-7 info... a dodge np208 will likely have a pass
side drop, won't work
and the spline count will likely be wrong. the TF727 used in the tug is the
RV version, has
an SAE#4 adapater, totally different case and pan than the feeble tf727 used
in the GW. But that
transfer case from the '87 gw will bolt right up... likely it's an np229/228 -
make sure those
hubs are locked in if you use it.. if not you'll blow that selectrac case if
engaged 4wd with the hubs
unlocked...

 # John, saw your 10A on your web site. Great project. A few questions if
you have time. Are the axles from an 87 grand wagoneer a Direct bolt in for
the 10A, front and rear. If yes are the steering components a direct bolt
in. Is a NP208 from a dodge a direct bolt in. I only ask as I am currently
in the Chicago, working, and my 10A is in California. If everything is a bolt
in I have a chance to buy a complete 87 grand wagoneer for $300. Thanks for
your help!!! Chuck

Dodge NP208 is 23 spline unless from a early Dodge Cummins setup (I was told
29 spline) and it is passenger's side drop which would work with '79 and
earlier FSJ axles. I have one that I bolted into the '76 J10 shortbed with the
304 and Jeep 727 before I decided to part it and fix the Honcho instead. (I
had planned on putting that setup in my '73 J4000 before I rolled it)

The Dodge NP208 is on my for sale list now for $150 (unless I change the
Pumpkin's IH 304 transplant to 727 instead of the BW auto and current remote
tcase.)

handcuffed him and took him away... the bull bars were confiscated by
airport security and put in the back of their jeeps...

Gents -

Almost have the 75 Waggy up and running, but I need to get seatbelts re-installed so the kiddies can rid too. The previous owner removed the ones in the back seat. Does alone have a set they'd like to get rid of, or have a lead I may follow?

Thanks

You would want an '80 up Ford or J10 T18 output shaft and adapter sleeve to
run a Dodge (or Chev with fixed yoke and shifter fork upgrades) NP208, but you
would need to swap in a Ford 31 spline input gear. (haven't done it, but I
have been studying it as well as some other Nissan diesel options. Someone
beat me to the LD28 I was going to buy 8^( )
