I can get my Mercedes out of this part in the snow... have a short video of that... linked near the middle of the first link I was having battery trouble with my truck so I had to go all the way to the bottom of our drive... not planning on carrying a lead battery 100 feet up a 35-40 degree slippery slope after having just been to the chiropractor... :) coming back up the hill had to work the old beast pretty hard to the top... street tires... anyway, got some videos (in the link above) of the AMC V8 letting off a little steam... was making some pretty wild sounds... pitiful... but as soon as it got over its hissy fit I started it up and drove it the rest of the way up, but messed up and slid off the drive into the grassy area where our drain field is... snow was deep... I could try to back up and risk the fence and slide further into mowed lawn... I could push on and get myself out... and likely tear up a nice lawn... or I can wait until my son gets home with his Grand Wagoneer and toss a tow strap on to give me that little bit of guidance I need to get back on the straight and narrow... :) jeep on y'all... john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -o|||||o- fahrvergnugen y'all Snohomish, Washington - where Jeeps and VWs don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 TRSTGZS http://JohnMeister.com HTTP://WAGONEERS.COM http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Jan 2012 09:25:28 -0800 From: Jim Blair Subject: RE: fsj: snow. day 4.
