Felt great. Got my plates Friday. Paid way too much in taxes, but it's mine (well, I'm borrowing it from the State) Still using a lot of oil, even with the Rislone compression seal and 20W50. I'm sure the rear main seal wasn't done perfect, and there's a small leak from the distributor, but I can't figure out where it's all going. 1 qt/100 miles, but blow by is not that bad. Not smoking seriously. A few drips after I park it, but not a deluge. I'll keep looking. Could it be seeping from the side of the oil pan? I may get the wife to follow me up a hill Replaced the plastic line for the oil pressure guage with a copper line kit. Even waxed the hood and the driver's door. Replaced the rear brake hose. Ordered the OEM replacement fuel filler line, hope it will fit through the hole in the frame gusset, because the current situation is not working. I'm getting a drumming from the engine about 1500 rpm to 1800 rpm, wondering if this isn't that standard straight six vibration or if I should think harmonic balancer... Also, if I push it in second and third, I get a high pitched squeal at upper rpm...maybe the cam walk against the timing cover? Timing chain is new. Not that much left to do as is, will look for a window to install the 4.0 in it. The plan for the beach May 18th may have fallen through. Could go read some plugs... - - Landon 79 J10 ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #3901 **************************
