The replacement solenoid arrived last Monday noon so...

Done today, it took me a couple of hours because of some bolt problems and
difficult position to turn them.

Not a chance, I'll store them as they are now, the Chinese one is
assembled, the original one is disassembled.

It started fine and I drove the Wag today for about 5 kilometers in the
city, it worked almost fine.... it seemed to me it was a little "heavy"

AND THERE IS ANOTHER PROBLEM!!!

A few minutes ago (22:30 aprox) I decided to put it inside and 2 problems
appeared:

1 - the clutch is not getting back as fast as expected, in some cases it
stays down for a few seconds.
2 - When I step down the Wag I decided to move it 1 meter forward, so I
pushed it, or at least I tried, it seemed to me it not in neutral, so I
checked the trans, it was in neutral.... weird, I pushed it again and still
blocked... so I pushed it backwards for 20 cm and it was fine, ok, then
forward and it's blocked.

Any ideas?

Something in the transfer case?....

I must confess something to the list..... I've had the chance to engage the
4x4, I don't even know the correct position of the levers, I've just left
them in the original position. It was not engaged the front transmission
(99% sure..).

Ernesto.

Not rolling could be a few things. If its in 4x4, the suspension, drivelines
and axles could be wound up (NP205, NP208, NP231 and some other 4x4 on loose
surface only tcases do that) Possibly brakes sticking.

I had the cage around the rear bearing in a Mopar trans break loose and become
a 1 way roller clutch (truck drove forward but only backed up a little before
jamming like the ebrake was on. It was a new one on the trans

GRRRR, after some many little things I've repaired in my Wag I'm starting
to think I'll have to take to a steel foundry and have it melted down!!!,
or perhaps I should store it as is for a few months and have it complete
disassembly so I can check every single piece of it.... I'll try to wait....

Jim, many thanks for your advices, I'll take a look at them when I can,
today I can't work on it, I have to make some grills for my new home, if my
right shoulder let me (after a few hours of one hand manual saw cutting
yesterday)

Have a nice Sunday guys.
Ernesto.
